SAMUEL ORTOM ON HIS 100 DAYS IN OFFICE The Permanent Secretary, Management and Staff of Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) heartily rejoice with the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Samuel Ortom and the Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu as they mark 100 days in office. Benue SUBEB is proud to identify with the emergence of God fearing leaders like Dr. Samuel Ortom and Engr. Abounu who are best of minds in the area of astute leadership. We therefore, praise the initiative of the APC-led government which has a clear agenda to eradicate illiteracy in the state. The Board is particularly delighted with the concerted efforts you are making to provide matching grants and facilitate the release of Federal Government's Universal Basic Education Funds to Benue State for infrastructural development in public primary and junior secondary schools. As an agency of government responsible for the provision of basic education in the state, the Board has already keyed into the initiative of the government to provide free quality education.
