Ph+61 411 390 188 North Queensland Trail Bike Adventures©2019 We offer you a unique trail bike riding adventure on pure trails through private property, pastoral lands and traditional landowners land Day 1 – 245 k’s – Cairns to Lions Den We pick you up from your accommodation in Cairns and head up the Kuranda Range to NQTBA Headquarters for meet and greet and safety briefing, gear up and jump on your bikes heading straight out onto dirt trails linking up with Black Mountain Road through lush rainforest trails heading North to the Daintree River Village for lunch then cross the Daintree River to enter the famous CREB track and the Bloomfield track taking in the sights of the beautiful Bloomfield River waterfalls with countless creek crossings and mountainous tracks arriving at Lions Den for your first night. Hot showers and a cold beers awaits you – it doesn’t get any better than this! Day 2 – 255 k’s – Lions Den to Kalpowar Crossing, Lakefield National Park Today is our longest day. After a yummy breakfast we head out passing the strange and wonderful rock/boulder mountain called “Black Mountain” up to historic Cooktown and famous Windy Hill panoramic lookout for some great photo opportunities, then onto the Starke Track which is full of great challenges, sandy sections and many creek crossings to really put your skills to use. You will notice the scenery dramatically change to Savannah Grasslands as we come to Kalpowar Crossing where we camp again under the stars with the warmth and ambience of the campfire. You can have a chance to catch a Barra and possibly spot a Croc! Day 3 –244 k’s–Lakefield National Park to Archer River Leaving Kalpowar Crossing by tight sandy tracks with a few more creek crossings before meeting up with the support vehicle for refuelling before you venture on more exciting trails Over 1400 kilometres pure trail bike heaven taking you through the Township of Coen, then on to Archer River where we camp again under the starlit sky with our legendary camp fire! North Queensland Trail Bike Adventures©2019 95% DIRT Day 4–250 k’s–Archer River to Moreton Telegraph Station We set off early on another exciting day and head through country on the clear cool inviting upper Wenlock and Pascoe Rivers in the uplands of Cape York Peninsula, Northern Australia and many private trails only accessible to NQTBA. Our exotic fun private exclusive trails are fantastic and then we camp in a bushland setting on the upper Wenlock River. Day 5 – 263 k’s – Moreton Telegraph Station to Seisia Today is our most challenging day as we ride the full length of the very scenic Telegraph Track with many sandstone river crossings and sandy trails of fun and challenges. Some tour companies will short cut this track at fruit bat falls to rush you up to the tip that same day. At North Queensland Trail Bike Adventures you will enjoy riding the full length of the Telegraph track and riding to the tip of Cape York and pristine beaches and side tracks the following day. We pop into Fruit Bat Falls and Elliot Falls for a refreshing swim and lunch and refuel before continuing North to Bamaga to Seisia for camping close to the beach, with views of the most awesome sunsets over the ocean. North Queensland Trail Bike Adventures©2019 Day 6 – 143 k’s – Ride to the Tip… and 5 beaches ride Back in the saddle of your mechanical Brumby for your final days ride to venture through tropical rainforest that twists and turns till the very end of the tip then the last 200m is covered by foot over rocky escarpment to the most Northern Tip of Australia. It’s time to cheer “we’ve made it”! and shake hands etc. After the tip we head out to Sommerset and do the awesome 5 beaches ride, then to Punsand Bay Resort where you treat yourself to lunch, then back to camp for our legendary farewell dinner watching the sunset and last night sleeping under the stars! ☺ Day 7 – Seisia to Thursday Island, Horn Island and back to Cairns Early start to your day as you set off on and ocean voyage across to Thursday Island then boat ride ferry across to Horn then onto your last leg by air to Cairns down the spectacular East Coast with endless photo opportunities. MOTORCYCLE TOUR PACKAGE INCLUSIONS The following items are included in our tour package for riders: motorcycle, fuel, accommodation/camping and meals, ferry fees, one-way flights back to starting destination (Cape York Tour only), permits, qualified Guides, sweep rider and support vehicle, riding gear if needed for rent. (We require you to bring along your backpack with own hydration pack (min 3 ltrs). Motorcycle tour packages do not include: alcoholic beverages, optional tours and sightseeing excursions, gratuities and insurance coverage for injury to the rider. PAYMENT For the tour a 10% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. This deposit secures a place on the tour. The final balance payment is due 45 days before the tour starts unless the arrival date is less than 45 days away, then the full amount is due. If the total balance is not received 45 days before tour start, NQTBA reserves the right to treat this reservation as cancelled and charge the cancellation fee. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancelling after booking confirmation, but prior to your final payment, your 10% deposit is non-refundable. If canceling after final payment has been received: • More than 21 days prior to departure date - 75% is refunded. • Between 21 and 14 days prior to departure date - 50% is refunded. • Between 14 and 7 days prior to departure date - 25% is refunded. • Less than 7 days prior to departure date - No refund. RELEASE AND WAIVER, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY Every participant of a tour operated by NQTBA is required to accept and sign a release and waiver, assumption of risk and indemnity agreement form of rights before tour starts. NQTBA cannot accept any tour participant without a duly signed release and waiver, assumption of risk and indemnity agreement form. MOTORCYCLE HIRE/SAFETY BOND As with all hire vehicles, we require a deposit of $1,600 bond to be made before departure. This money is refundable upon the safe return of your hire motorcycle provided no damage caused by accident or negligence has occurred to the motorcycle. All riders must comply with North Queensland Trail Bike Adventures terms and conditions, and be licensed to ride a motorcycle. The tour operates in remote areas and the operator reserves the right to alter the itinerary due to road, weather, operational or safety considerations. The operator is not responsible or liable for any loss of damage of personal belongings or for personal injury, accident or illness, however caused. Tours may be cancelled due to weather conditions or other emergencies. OUR SUPPORT VEHICLE Our modern, air conditioned Hino 500 series vehicle is equipped with Sat phone, comprehensive first aid kit and all the necessary off road equipment and we have special rates for non riding participants, partners etc., on Cape York Tours. Non-riding passengers - $1900.00 (max 1) traveling in the support truck get to enjoy all the camping, campfires, starry nights, wildlife which includes all meals, camping gear, one-way flight between Cape York and Cairns, park fees & permits. Tag-a-Long packages do not include: alcoholic beverages, optional tours and sightseeing excursions. North Queensland Trail Bike Adventures©2019 SAFETY Our guides are trained in first aid and are equipped with first aid supplies for any necessary first aid attention. You will be briefed on conditions daily of expected itinerary. Before every tour begins, your motorcycle tour leader will give each participant a briefing about local speed limits, signage, and other applicable traffic regulations. • It is the participant’s responsibility to adhere to all traffic regulations. All local road rules must be complied with. • Participants must hold a valid motorcycle license. • Helmets are mandatory. • Participants must be aware of traffic, road conditions, weather and other motorcyclists. • Participants understand that motorcycling is a dangerous activity and are aware of these risks and fully accepts these risks, and are solely responsible for keeping their motorcycle under control, selecting proper speeds, and adhering to the applicable state laws.
