Join us for "Wilderness" VBS Week of June 21, 2021 One of the many things we missed throughout the COVID pandemic was getting TRINITY MEMORIAL LUTHERAN CHURCH together for Vacation Bible School. You'll be happy to know we are planning to offer VBS at Trinity Memorial this coming summer, with safety precautions. Details are still being 7950 Marshall Street ● Merrillville, IN 46410-5293 worked out, but please plan to join us the week of June 21st. Our theme is "Wilderness 219-769-5376 ● tmlchurch.com Escape: Where God guides and provides." Caravan with Moses and the Israelites as they escape from Egypt. As part of our safety precautions, attendance will be limited to 40 children and pre-registration will be required this year. If you'd like to help this year, watch for an announcement soon about a VBS planning meeting. -The TMLC Board of Education

Serving God’s people…. The congregations of Merrillville has opened up Feed the Flock to take out meals only as of February 27th at First Presbyterian Church, 7898 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN The customers are entering through the front door and coming downstairs to the counter where they receive a bag filled with a bottle of water, a bag of chips, a bag of cookies, a plastic ware packet with salt & pepper, a fruit cup, and a bun with butter or whatever else depending on what is being served. Then they exit by the side door. There is no eating there. With the proceeds from the luncheon, they are still providing the water, chips and cookies plus the bags and containers for takeout. It has been running very well, and the exposure is limited. The floor is marked off for six feet if there is a line and everyone wears a mask. The other option is that the serving church can prepare sandwiches, a fruit cup or piece of fruit and anything else that they want to include. Our church will be helping on May 29th. The time has decreased from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. I think we could make sloppy joes and pre-wrap the sandwiches, keep them in the warmer and add them to the bags as needed. There have only been 30-45 people this past month. I will check the numbers closer to our day. The other days we will be helping this year will be July 10th and October 16th. Because it’s take out, there are not a lot of people that need to help, usually 4-5 people. Please let me know if you would like to help. I will post a sign up sheet for May 29th at the beginning of May.
