IN-HOME “PiKLE” PARTY TRAINING The following are some suggestions on how to have a successful “In A Pikle” party. Remember to be professional, make new friends and have fun! Before the Party! Make sure you arrive a ½ hour early so you have plenty of time to set up your display, answer last minute questions from your hostess and be ready to welcome your first guest. When the guests arrive encourage them to take a look at your display, grab some food and get ready for a fun night. Display! There are some great examples of displays that people have uploaded on the Pikle Professional page. Keep it simple! IAP has done a great job providing us the tools that make our display look professional. Don’t forget booking boards with your “available party dates” and also lapboards for your guests. Each lapboard should have a wish list, opportunity brochure and monthly customer special. Save the catalogs until the end of your presentation so they focus on you and not the catalog while you are talking. Introduction! Ask your hostess to please have her guests be seated and introduce you so you may begin your presentation. Take a brief moment to thank your hostess and introduce yourself. Ask each guest to introduce themselves and how they know the hostess. “P” is for…Personal Problem Solver! The “In A Pikle” bag is a personal problem solver. *Practical…it looks like a fashionable wallet or clutch but is filled with all kinds of practical items. Every day we have little emergencies (name a few common ones). You may have a few solutions in your big bag of tricks, but can you find them when you need them! (Prop idea. Have an old purse with a pack of baby wipes, full size hand sanitizer, big bottle of Tylenol, big box of tissues, hand mirror, dental floss, etc.) *Pik your Pikle…The “In A Pikle” bag comes in lots of cute colors and styles. Discuss other Paks available. *Personalize it…Perfect your bag with your own personal, pampering, primping and preparedness items. Full calendar means a consistent paycheck It’s a Wrap! Last minute tips and tricks! *Tell your guests that orders will be shipped to the hostess and explain that shipping will be added to their order. They can opt to have their order drop-shipped direct for an additional charge. (See our Shipping Chart located in the Back Office). *We take VISA, MC, DISCOVER, AMEX and all checks should be made out to the hostess. *We will close the party within 3 days. (You may or may not choose to say this. Sometimes it makes people delay their purchase where if they believe the party is closing that night they don’t procrastinate and will order then.) *If someone wants to take a catalog offer the “mini” version and tell them you reserve the full sized for your shows only. *Have your guests fill out the “wish list” located in their lapboard and mention again where they can find the monthly customer special. *Pass out the catalogs and mention as they make their decision they can write it on the wish list. Your guests will love how convenient it is to give you this slip of paper with their completed information and order. You will love having everything in writing so you don’t need to ask how names or addresses are spelled. Order Time! Follow these simple tips to help make your ordering process run smoothly and efficiently. 3 IN-HOME “PiKLE” PARTY TRAINING *Pre-determine a working area that you can direct guests to when they are ready to order. *Have your white “Party Envelope”, extra party envelopes, calculator, pen, invoices, catalog, customer special, business cards, Opportunity Flyer and Hostess Benefit flyer neatly displayed. *When you write up the order make sure you get all customer information including an email and phone. If they pay by credit card make sure you get their expiration date and CVV #. If they pay by check or cash make a note on the invoice with the check # and how much you received in cash. Please staple check/cash to corresponding Yellow copy of the invoice so when you give it to the hostess it is nicely organized. *Have the customer initial on the front lower hand side the “Notice of Cancellation” and sign the bottom if they paid by credit card.
