We will be having an afternoon of music making on Sunday 17 September (with a rehearsal on Sunday 10 September), in memory of Anthony Aston Smith. We’ll be performing Purcell’s Come ye sons of art and some other items. If you would like to take part, please contact Samantha Schad ([email protected]). Singers and instrumentalists of all ages and levels of expertise are welcome!
Michèle is glad to hear from anyone who would like to join St. Margaret’s flower rota. If you would like more information, please speak to Michèle who is also happy to give individual help and support to anyone who would like to try but feels that they lack experience or confidence!

Wednesday 23 August, 4:00-6:00pm in the League of Friends Café, Level 2 of the main John Radcliffe Building: the hospital chaplaincy team is holding an Open Afternoon to welcome friends from the local community and representatives of the churches and faith groups. You are most welcome to come along to find out more about our work in the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Sir Michael Sobell House, the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital, and the Horton Hospital at Banbury. Sacristan teams: both the Sunday morning services’ (8:00am & 10:30am) sacristan teams are looking for someone to join them. For more details contact Tom Albinson.

The Archway Foundation is an Oxford-based charity working with lonely, socially isolated and marginalized people. It is organising a training workshop at Headington Baptist Church on Saturday 23 September from 9:30am and finishing at 12:30pm. It is on the theme of “The Loneliness of Loss” and it will be offering guidance on the pastoral support of those experiencing loneliness and isolation. There is no charge but a donation to help cover the cost of the day would be appreciated. Booking is essential. For further details please email [email protected].
