1. Introduction

1 eureca 20XX – Conference Paper Paper Number YYYY

An electronic copy of this template can be downloaded from the conference website. For questions about author’s guidelines, please contact the conference organising committee as indicated on the conference website.

2. Page Layout

An easy way to comply with the conference paper formatting is to use this document as a template and simply type in your text into each section.

2.1 Page Layout

Your paper must be provided on A4 page size which is 8.27" (210mm) wide and 11.69" (297mm) long. The margins must be set as follows:

 Top = 1”  Bottom = 1”  Left = Right = 1.25”

Your paper must be prepared in one column format and 8 to 15 pages length.

3. Page Style

The first line of any paragraph must be indented by 0.5”. All paragraphs must be left- justified and separated from the next paragraph or section by one-line space.

3.1 Text Font of Entire Document

The entire document (except the title) should be written with Times New Roman 12 pt font. Recommended font styles are shown in Table 1.

4. Required Format for Page 1

Title must be in 22 pt Bold font and its first line located five 12-point spaces below the top margin of the paper. Author’s name must be in 12 pt Regular font. Authors’ affiliations and the email for the corresponding author must be in 12 pt Italic form. There is a one-line space before and after the email.

The title and authors’ details must be center-justified. Each word in the title must be capitalized except for conjunctions; e.g. “a”, “an”, “and”, “as”, “at”, “by”, “for”, “from”, “if”, “in”, “into”, “on”, “or”, “of”, “the”, “to”, “with”.

Author details must not show any professional title (e.g. Managing Director), any academic title (e.g. Dr.) or any membership of any professional organization (e.g. Senior Member IEEE). To avoid confusion, the family name must be written as the last part of each author’s name (e.g. John Smith).

Each affiliation must include, at the very least, the name of the company and the name of the country where the author is based (e.g. Causal Productions Pty Ltd, Australia). Email address is compulsory for the corresponding author.

2 eureca 20XX – Conference Paper Paper Number YYYY

Abstract must be in 12 pt font with 250 to 300 words summarizing problem statement, methodology, key results and conclusions. Consider one line space after the abstract and then write five keywords that may address your area of research the most. Page 1 of the manuscript ends here and “Introduction” must start from Page 2.

5. Section Headings and Equations

No more than 3 levels of headings should be used. All headings must be in small caps. First letter of the word in a heading must be capitalized. There must be one space before and after each heading:

Examples:

Level 1 heading: “1. Introduction” Level 2 heading: “2.4 Theoretical Approach” Level 3 heading: “4.2.5 Data Acquisition and Post-Processing”

5.1 Level-1 and Level 2 Headings

The only two level-1 headings which must not be numbered are “Acknowledgment” and “References”. Level-1 and Level-2 headings are Bold.

5.2 Level-3 Heading

A level-3 heading must be in small caps, italic font and numbered.

5.3 Units and Equations

Use either SI (MKS) or CGS as primary units. (SI units are encouraged.) Avoid combining SI and CGS units, such as length in meters (m) and volume in centimeters cube (cm3).

Please use MS Word equation editor to write equations, and then number them consecutively. An equation must be left-justified while the number is placed in parentheses and justified to the write margin of the page. There must be one line space before and after any equation. Address an equation in the short form “Eq. (X)” while referring to it in the text. For example refer to Eq. (1) below:

(1)

6. Preparation of Figures and Tables

Figures and tables must be justified at the center of the page. Figures have to be produced in black & white only, so they can be printed out clearly on a black and white hardcopy.

Figure 1 shows an example of a low-resolution image which would not be acceptable, whereas Figure 2 shows an example of an image with acceptable resolution.

6.1 Figure Captions

3 eureca 20XX – Conference Paper Paper Number YYYY

Figures must be numbered using Arabic numerals. A figure is addressed in the text by its abbreviated form followed by the corresponding number (Fig. X) but in the caption is shown in complete form (Figure X). Captions must be in 12 pt Regular font and placed with one line space after the figure. A single line caption must be centered (Fig. 1) whereas multi- line captions are left-justified and the hanging is adjusted to 0.7” (Fig. 2).

Figure 1. Example of an unacceptable.

Figure 2. Example of an image with acceptable resolution, caption of this figure is left- justified and the second line has 0.7” hanging.

6.2 Table Captions

Tables must be numbered using Arabic numerals. A table is addressed in complete form both in the text and the caption (Table X). Captions must be in 12 pt Regular font and placed on the top of the table without any spaces. A single line caption must be centered

(Table 1) whereas multi-line captions are left-justified and the hanging is adjusted to 0.7” (Table 2).

6.2.1 Page Numbers, Headers and Footers

Page numbers are placed at the center, on the bottom of the page.

7. Conclusions

This template will help you to produce your manuscript according to the conference required format. We thank you in advance for your interest and patience and looking forwards to receiving your papers by the given deadline.

Acknowledgment (optional)

The heading of the Acknowledgment section must not be numbered. You have the option to thank whoever helped you over the course of this research.

References

The heading of the References section must not be numbered. Citation of an author's work in the text should be in square brackets (e.g. [1]).

Multiple references in the text are separated with a comma and included in the same bracket (e.g. [2-4, 6]). Arrange references in the list according to the number by which they appear in the text. There is a one line space between any two references. Apply 0.3” hanging for references that are longer than one line. Below you may learn how to refer to various types of resources in your reference list:
