7:30 to 8:30am:Hiring Fair Registration Begins for Veterans (on pier)

8:30 to 11:30am: Hiring Fair (on pier)

9:30 to 10:30am: Conference Registration (welcome center)

10:15am: Open ship to Hiring Fair attendees for Mandell Workshop and remainder of day

10:30am to 12:00pm: Mandell Communications Workshop: "Moment of Truth Messages" This highly interactive, two-hour working session is designed to maximize the experience of all VOWS Conference attendees. The session will mix military attendees with representatives of Wall Street, Human Resources, Diversity and Recruiting Professionals. The teams will learn a framework for creating compelling messages that get to the point, capturing their listener’s interest, and influencing them to take action.  All Participants will have a framework for launching value added conversations during the day’s events and the dinner.  Military Attendees will be able to position the value of their service to our country in context of the needs of a potential financial services employer.  Wall Street, Human Resources, Diversity and Recruiting Professionals will be able to establish heightened credibility for their recommendations when they return to work.

Military 101: for Human Resources, Diversity and Recruiting Professionals A panel discussion about recruiting and marketing to the veteran population, as well as building an internal network group focused on mentorship, outreach, sponsorship and awareness. (Seating is limited in The Great Hall to first 200 registered) 2. Wall Street 101: for Transitioning Veterans A lecture followed by a panel discussion and question & answer period that is designed to demystify and introduce veterans to the financial services industry. (Seating is limited in Lutnick Theater to first 275 registered)

3:00 to 4:30pm: Breakout Sessions for Veterans:

1. Future of Private Equity in the 21st Century, for Veterans currently employed in the Financial Services Industry: A panel discussion with Investment Banking and Private Equity Leaders (Seating is limited in The Great Hall to first 200 registered)

2. Battlefield to Boardroom, for Transitioning Veterans: A panel discussion with question & answer on how veterans can most successfully leverage their military experience into a successful transition into the civilian world, lead by veterans, experts in veterans placement and human resources professionals. (Seating is limited in Lutnick Theater to first 275 registered)

3. Value of a Veteran: for Human Resources, Diversity and Recruiting Professionals Focused roundtable discussions for Diversity, Human Resources and Recruiting Professionals a. Diversity Professionals: Discussion surrounding the challenges, benefits and social responsibility of a Veterans Employee Network Group b. Human Resources Professionals: Discussion about the on boarding, retention and promotion challenges unique to the veterans community within an organization. c. Recruiting Professionals: Discussion about the most valuable outlets for recruiting military veterans for different types of positions, industries and organizations. (Seating is limited in Classrooms to first 40 registered for each classroom)
