Today is Thursday, December 1, 2016, Schedule Day 1.
Library is open to passes today during all periods.
The next NPFH Awareness/Casual day is Monday, December 5th. Everyone is encouraged to wear their NPFH attire.
The next GSA meeting will be after school in Room 566 on Tuesday December 13th. This will be our holiday party so bring food to share as well as your appetite!
Students registered to take the SAT or Subject Tests this Saturday, December 3rd are reminded to report to the testing room by 7:45 a.m. The test begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. All students must bring the registration ticket, photo ID, #2 pencils (NO mechanical pencils), and a calculator. Students will not be admitted without the registration ticket and photo ID. Room assignments will be posted outside of the Counseling Office.
Principal's Advisory Board Meeting scheduled for Friday, December 2nd has been cancelled. We will be in touch with a revised date.
The next Buzz Magazine Club meeting will be Wednesday, December 7th at 2:30 p.m. in the learning lab.
TODAY, there will be a Computer Science Showcase immediately after Parent/Teacher Conferences in rooms 366, 368, and 369. It is an opportunity to see students demonstrate some of the programs they’ve written, see the Robotics Team in action, and interact with some Computer Science professionals from our community. Birthday cake and apple cider will also be provided. Ask your math or computer science teacher for more information.
Science Olympiad will meet TODAY after school in Room 403. New members welcome.

If you have lost any article of clothing, gym bags, and/or any jewelry, glasses, keys, etc., since the beginning of school, please come to the main office to claim your belongings. Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the day, Friday, December 2nd.
Come and join the indoor color guard! It is a great place to meet new people and enjoy the art form of dance, performance, and spinning. We are looking for some new recruits! There is another practice on Saturday, December 3rd, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No experience necessary. We hope to see you there!
Attention Juniors: Your Gertrude Hawk orders will be available for pick up on Monday, December 5th in the auditorium lobby after school. See Mrs. Frantzen in 569 or Mrs. Simpkins in 557 if you have any questions.

The Pennsylvania School for Global Entrepreneurship at Lehigh University and the University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy, former Governor’s School programs are accepting applications for the 2017 summer programs. Current high school sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply. Those who are interested should visit: go.lehigh.edu/psge and www.hcsa.pitt.edu for more information. Completed applications should be returned to the Counseling Office for submission by January 18th.
PSAT results will be available on December 12th. Students will be able to access their online score report by creating an account at; Studentscores.collegeboard.org. There will be student information sessions on Thursday December 7th during period 3 and 8 (before scores are reported) and Tuesday December 20th. This is an opportunity to discuss the online score report, its meaning and its interpretation. Seats are limited. Students must sign up in the Counseling office.
The Emerging Health Professionals Program provides high school seniors with an opportunity to experience a variety of health care careers in a hospital setting and take Penn State science courses for college credit. Students spend three days a week rotating among various departments of a hospital. Students will experience these departments throughout three Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network facilities. Representatives from LCTI and Penn State University will be visiting Emmaus high school on Wednesday December 21st at 1:00 p.m. to explain the program in detail and supply applications to interested and qualified juniors for the 2017-2018 academic school year. Interested juniors should stop by the Counseling office to sign up for the presentation.
The half hour after school detentions have been moved from café 1 to room 223 until further notice.
2015 – 2016 yearbooks have arrived. If you pre-ordered one, please stop by the Main Office to pick your copy. If you would like to purchase one, the cost is $87. Please bring cash or check to the Main Office.
