I. Teacher Bio: Graduated from Webster County High School ('03). Accepted a Football/Track scholarship to Bethel University (B.S. '07). I have a beautiful wife and 2 sons. I can not leave out our four-legged family members: Spud and Gus. Most of my spare time is spent staying busy in the outdoors hunting and fishing with my friends and family. My favorite quote is: "Lead by the power of your example, not by an example of your power." (Former President Bill Clinton).

II. Course Objective: The student will acquire skills, fitness, knowledge and attitudes that contribute to their optimal development and well-being. III. Units: Team Sports and Games – Kinball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, hockey, & more Physical Fitness – Heart rate/pulse, 5 components of physical fitness, & more Recreational Games and Activities – Tetherball, 4-square, Gnip Gnop, Gagaball, & more Archery – 11 steps of archery success, 10 meters, 15 meters & more

IV. Student Rules and Class Expectations (please read carefully):  Proper dress is required. o P.E. clothes (described on back under “Class Materials”)  Be on time to class – tardiness will not be tolerated (4th tardy = office referral).  Refrain from side conversations – pay attention during instruction.  Participation is mandatory – try everything and try your best. o Non-participating students will lose 2 points on his or her daily grade.  Respect – schoolmates, HMS faculty/staff, equipment, facilities.  The student will bring the following to class daily: o HMS Agenda book (this is your hall pass) o P.E. clothes (dress code length athletic shorts, t-shirt with sleeves, tennis shoes with laces) o Paper, pencils as needed  The student will follow the school rules as outlined in the HMS Agenda Book and Christian County School Board Student Code of Conduct.

V. VI. Class Materials  Appropriate dress for P.E.: o Dress code length athletic shorts (OR sweats, warm-up pants) made for physical activity o T-shirt with sleeves (polos, long sleeve t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies are O.K.) o Tennis shoes with laces o NOT ALLOWED: spandex, tights, pajama pants, khakis, jeans, cargo shorts, boots, flip flops, sandals, boat shoes (Sperry’s), muscle shirts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, and any clothing that does not comply with the school dress code or P.E. class regulations. If it is inappropriate, don’t wear it.  Shoe String bags to carry gym clothes (optional, but suggested)  HMS Agenda Book – Bring everyday! This is your hall pass.  Pencils, paper when needed  Glue stick, scissors, colored pencils/markers/crayons for Collage/Word Wall project
