I. Call to order at 6:06 PM II. Invocation by Jamandre III. Roll Call IV. Gallery  Patrick Baron V. Approval of Minutes  Motion to approve by Watts, second by Syed; approved 21-0 VI. Approval of Agenda  Motion to approve by Regalado, second by Velez; approved 21-0 VII. Public Forum VIII. Advisor’s Report  Congratulations to the women who were initiated into AOII  Sorority recruitment is open  If you go to Shu.edu/student life there is an opportunity to register for an sorority or fraternity you are interested in  This week is Tech Week. There are workshops on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 12PM-1:30PM in Walsh Library. If you go to a workshop, you get a cool pair of gloves and could win a pair of headphones! Please support Tech Week. IX. President’s Report  Thanks to everyone who came to the Election Day event for the Political Science department.  Thanks to PR for working hard on Town Hall.  Thanks to all who came to the Student Leadership Symposium on Saturday.  Thanks to Ariel, Christian, and Amy for meeting with me about dining options.  Meeting with Kelly O’Neil from Athletics Marketing about an Athletics Task Force through SGA tomorrow.  Meeting with Dean Kaiser about 3+2 initiative as a follow up tomorrow  Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day and we have our luncheon at 11:30 in the Faculty Lounge  TimTalks will return by the end of this month. It will be a new installment.  Would like to thank and commend the Business Senators for working toward their open forum. Every other constituency has a December 1st deadline to plan their open forum and the event must occur by February 20th  Remember not to schedule classes next semester around 6PM. You know SGA Meetings occur at that time and we will not be as lenient this coming semester X. Treasurer’s Report XI. Speaker’s Report  SHUFLY Focus Group – need 3-4 students per event i. November 14th ii. November 21st iii. Do not need to be SGA reps  I would like committee chairs to send me a set of goals for their committee by next week  We are having an SGA Thanksgiving Dinner next Monday in the Commuter Cafe in place of next Monday’s meeting!  Senator Baker officially resigned today from his Arts and Sciences seat. I will be holding short interviews for any ad-hoc members to fill this new seat as soon as possible. I would like to have the new senator sworn in next meeting.  Yields to Sebba i. Veteran’s Day Luncheon- need people to set up around 11 ii. SOAC is meeting Friday iii. Clubs have to submit rosters by the 15th in order to get their budget XII. Committee Report  Student Life i. Mike Duce is talking to Dr. Starke and Ecology Club this week about recycling ii. We are finalizing the proposal for dining options iii. Sam, Tim, and Kayla are meeting with Kelly O’Neil about the creation of an Athletics Task Force tomorrow  Academic Affairs i. Attended a conference on Academic Integrity on Friday that gave us fresh ideas to bring to the Honor Code Task Force ii. Continuing benchmarking on mobile computing fee and open source textbooks.  Finance i. ALPFA – Mr. Seton Hall Male Beauty Pageant 1. Requested - $3000 a. hFunding for the entire event 2. Tabled ii. KPop- Thanksgiving Party and Christmas Party 1. Requested - $120 a. Funding for decorations 2. Granted - $62 a. Funds to cover Korean food and decorations for the parties as other food can be obtained through GDS iii. Slavic Club – Christmas Party 1. Requested - $522.50 a. Funding for half of event expenses, half of transportation 2. Granted - $347.50 a. Half of transportation iv. Beginning to discuss budget policy for the Spring  Public Relations i. PR Committee will work to make next Town Hall to be bigger and better! ii. Tech Week is very important to promote now. I encourage everyone to attend a workshop, especially if you are on PR Committee iii. Look out for e-mails from myself and the PR Committee regarding events moving forward  Village Relations i. The task force will help reignite the bond between students and athletics because there is an extreme disconnect right now ii. Will be meeting with two members of the Irvington Ave. Redevelopment Committee Thursday at 8PM at Ignosi Café on Irvington Ave and discussing the December Event (Holiday Concert/Tree Lighting) and how SGA can help out iii. The Leadership Symposium was a great success. iv. Meeting with TapShield soon XIII. Old Business XIV. New Business XV. Senatorial Courtesy  Wilson- Ryan and I met with Dr. Starke and she wants to get a sustainability committee back on campus. She gave us a list of other ideas to work on as well. Our first step for the Fair Trade Campaign is to get a team together and spread the word, so help out.  Green- Trying to start up a Woman’s Leadership program through the school of diplomacy. If you know anyone interested, contact me.  Hoffman (from Velez) – No meeting next week, but please come to SGA Thanksgiving! XVI. Announcements  Stanhope – If anyone is interested in careers in law, Phi Alpha Delta Pre- Law Fraternity is holding a Rush Week. Let me know if you are interested.  Watts – Phi Kappa Theta’s Pirate Queen is tonight! Everyone should go  Wilson – On Thursday, there is a speed networking event in Jubilee that will be worth going to  Sebba – Alpha Gamma Delta Date for Diabetes is Wednesday. You can bid on Sam Matino!  Matino – Men’s Basketball Season opener is at noon on Sunday. Go support the team. The theme is lazy Sunday.  Scudieri – Happy belated birthday to Ami Patel, Joe Martinelli, and Victoria Rotondo XVII. Adjourn at 6:38
