JOB DESCRIPTION

Job title: Brand Manager Reports to: Senior Marketing Manager Department: Marketing Location: Head Office, London

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Brand Manager is responsible for creating and delivering an exciting brand experience for the consumer across all touchpoints, especially the in-store environment. They raise brand awareness and enhance brand equity by delivering innovative marketing programmes. They drive profitable growth of across a number of brands in the Elizabeth Arden portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

 Liaise with European Marketing team to develop local UK & Eire Marketing Programmes in- line with overall Global strategy and positioning.

 Develop an effective marketing programme both above & below the line for New Launches and existing brands

 Manage & co-ordinate in-store implementation of new product launches from staffing to point of sale

 Develop and manage the marketing budget

 Effectively communicate Marketing Programme to key stakeholders across the business, in particular National Accounts, Field Sales and store consultants.

 Work closely with the National Accounts team, developing a bespoke retailer specific programme if required. Present to key retailers

 Develop & monitor profitable brand P&L’s to budget including management of Direct Marketing and Media Expenditure

 Monitor brand sales performance vs. budget and latest forecast

 Monitor retail sales including analysis of launch and promotional activities. Report internally and to global team.

 Track and monitor competitor activity and category trends.

 Manage production forecast for NPD, Seasonal Sets and ongoing basic business

Key Interfaces

1* UK Internal: PR, National Account Team, Field Sales, Customer Services, Finance, Visual Merchandising 2* European Internal: Marketing, Forecasting, Creative & Visual Merchandising Teams 3* External: Retailers, Point of Sale, Media Agencies and other suppliers

Skills and Experience  Personal profile: Ambitious self-starter with an ability to work in a fast moving environment & the capacity to think creatively. Strategic thinker who is pragmatic and has good commercial awareness and analytical skills. Ability to lead when working cross-functionally, with effective communication skills and a confident approach to presentations. Planning & organisation skills. Project management.

 Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

 Qualifications/ Experience: Proven experience of Trade or Consumer Marketing at Brand Manager level. Previous UK retail experience. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification. Technical marketing skills. Relevant product and industry knowledge.
