Applications Read articles in journals on criminal justice and define terms. Read various types of observational pieces of writing and understand the concepts, terms, and inferences made. Writing Concentrate on Observational Writing and/or Notes Technical Writing with emphasis on sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, chronological formation of events, proper use of citations in multiple written forms and reports. Applications Write a field report, a press release, a warrant affidavit, a probation report.

Mathematics Concentrate on addition, subtraction, Notes multiplication and division as well as understanding the principals of triangulation, ratios, speed distance and volume calculations. Application Estimate, apply, & solve problems involving fractions, decimals, percentages, & real numbers; construct & interpret tables, charts, maps and/or graphs; apply measurement concepts of distance, direction, rate, time & acceleration; explain & give examples of variable interest rates.
