What will be achieved? Campus safety will be enhanced by being able to identify students and employees from non students/employees, thus contributing to a safe learning and working environment. “Ensure Resources are Conducive to Improving Student Learning” Being able to account more accurately for student participation will assist in program reviews across the college in meeting the educational needs of students . “Implement a Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan to Effectively Utilize Bond Campaign Funds to Accommodate Future FTES and Student Support Services.” The card integrated system is capable of also providing electronic keys to staff on the smart card. All new buildings in the master plan will utilize e-keys and this system can incorporate that. “Foster Efforts that Address the Educational Needs of the Community At- Large” Potentially, the smart ID card can incorporate businesses into its use by being loaded as a debit card, if desired, for use in the community as well as on campus, thus welcoming and encouraging college students.
