______2017 RULES AND REGULATIONS  All contestants must be 167.76 cm or 5’6” (5 feet 6 inches) and UNDER. No exceptions. Contestants will be measured at orientation and no refunds will be given to a Contestant that has been disqualified.  Your age division is determined by your age on the DAY of the pageant. The entrant must be qualified for one of the following titles: o Teen: 13-18 years old; single, never married nor have any children o Miss: 19-29 years old; single, never married nor have any children o Ms.: 18-49 years old; single or divorced, may or may not have children and/or be pregnant o Mrs.: 18 and up, married, may or may not have children and/or be pregnant o Lady: 50 and up; any marital status, may or may not have children  Contestants are scored in the following categories: 30% Personal Interview; 30% Fun Fashion Wear; 30% Evening Gown and 10% On Stage Question.  Entry fees are $795.00 and a non-refundable deposit of $75.00 is required to hold a country/regional title in any division to be returned to our office with this application. A contestant is then required to finalize the $720.00 balance due payment to the national office by July 20, 2017 or said contestant will not be allowed to participate in the 2017 pageant. Entry fees do not include transportation to and from the pageant nor does it include hotel fees or meals. Crown and banner will not be sent to said contestant until all fees are paid in full. Entry fees can be paid via certified bank check, money order or PayPal to [email protected] only. ABSOLUTELY NO PERSONAL CHECKS. DEADLINE FOR ENTRY AND FINAL PAYMENTS INTO THE 2017 PAGEANT IS JULY 20, 2017.  Titles are awarded by the national office and at the sole discretion of the Executive Director and/or Production Staff. Any questions about a title should be directed to the national office.  Once a title has been awarded and crown and banner has been received, contestant will NOT appear in public as a Petite World titleholder in ANY OTHER CROWN AND BANNER EXCEPT THE OFFICIAL Petite World crown and banner. Doing so will result in immediate forfeiture of title.  Once a title has been awarded, the contestant will have their title through the national pageant date and until the END OF THE CALENDAR YEAR (December 31st). At any time after the national pageant, but before December 31st, said contestant must notify the national office that they wish to keep their title. There will be a special discounted fee for all returning contestants.  Contestants must be a female and have been born a female.  Titleholders must be legal residents of their country and have had a legal address in the country they represent for at least six (6) months. Contestants may also represent a country they were born in; attend school in; work in and/or from which they have a have a distinct heritage. However, proof must be provided to the international office. The only exception of the residency requirement would be if a Contestant were currently serving and/or a military spouse residing at a military base.  Titles may be awarded as a country, country nickname and/or region (e.g.: Miss Puerto Rico/Miss Isle of Enchantment/Miss Northern Islands, etcetera).  We expect each contestant to fulfill the obligations of country titleholder by agreeing to act in a manner that is of the highest standard. This includes, but is not limited to, the defamation of character of any Contestant, Director, Staff Member, Sponsor, etcetera; whether verbally, through written word or any other way. Any such behavior will be cause for immediate dismissal of title and said Contestant agrees to immediately cease and desist use of the title and return said crown and banner and any prizes given with said title without a refund. IF THIS HAPPENS DURING PAGEANT WEEKEND, THE JUDGES WILL BE NOTIFIED OF A CONTESTANT’S BEHAVIOR AND POINTS WILL BE TAKEN OFF OF THAT CONTESTANT’S FINAL SCORE. THIS INCLUDES THEIR COUNTRY DIRECTOR BEING INFORMED AND POSSIBLE APPROPRIATE ACTION BEING TAKEN BY THE COUNTRY DIRECTOR WITH THE FULL SUPPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE.

 By participating in the Petite World pageant, the contestant hereby releases any claim which she may have on any use of her photograph, likeness, voice, or appearance including advertising and promotional material relating to the pageant, including any right to compensation for the use of likeness. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of said image and or name of contestant for advertising, publicity, sponsor's use, etcetera. 2017 RULES AND REGULATIONS (Continued)  The contestant hereby represents that the contestant will continue to be a person of good moral character, that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions, or that she will reflect unfavorable on the Pageant, its representatives, sponsors, and/or licensees, that she has not appeared in nude or provocative photographs for any film, or publication, prior to, during her reign as the Country and/or National Titleholder. IF THIS HAPPENS DURING PAGEANT WEEKEND, THE JUDGES WILL BE NOTIFIED OF A CONTESTANT’S BEHAVIOR AND POINTS WILL BE TAKEN OFF OF THAT CONTESTANT’S FINAL SCORE. THIS INCLUDES THEIR COUNTRY DIRECTOR BEING INFORMED AND POSSIBLE APPROPRIATE ACTION BEING TAKEN BY THE COUNTRY DIRECTOR WITH THE FULL SUPPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE.  Contestants will display good sportsmanship and honor the judges’ decisions as final. Drinking alcohol and/or smoking will not be tolerated in your sash whether in the host hotel, at pageant functions, dressing rooms, during the pageant or rehearsals, etcetera. All contestants are expected to conduct themselves in a ladylike manner while attending the national pageant. We will not tolerate anyone making negative remarks about another contestant, the staff, the Petite World Pageant, the judges or the host hotel. You will be asked to relinquish the title on the spot including crown, banner and any prizes and you will be asked to leave. IF THIS HAPPENS DURING PAGEANT WEEKEND, THE JUDGES WILL BE NOTIFIED OF A CONTESTANT’S BEHAVIOR AND POINTS WILL BE TAKEN OFF OF THAT CONTESTANT’S FINAL SCORE. THIS INCLUDES THEIR COUNTRY DIRECTOR BEING INFORMED AND POSSIBLE APPROPRIATE ACTION BEING TAKEN BY THE COUNTRY DIRECTOR WITH THE FULL SUPPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE.  No one besides contestants and staff will be allowed in the dressing rooms or backstage at any time. This means no hair/make-up artists, family members, or guests. This rule will be strictly enforced. This is not to say that you cannot have your own hair/make-up artists. However, your appointments with hair/make-up artists MUST NOT interfere with production rehearsals, pageant events, or the actual pageant competition. Contestants are expected to be on time and attend all scheduled events and rehearsals.  Contestants must attend ALL scheduled events during pageant weekend. Contestants are required to arrive on time and participate in all scheduled activities. The only exception to this is with the prior consent of the Director. JUDGES WILL BE NOTIFIED OF A CONTESTANT'S ATTENDANCE AND/OR TARDINESS AND POINTS WILL BE TAKEN OFF OF THEIR FINAL SCORE.  All required pageant paperwork must be turned in by the deadlines set forth by the pageant office. JUDGES WILL BE NOTIFIED OF A CONTESTANT NOT MEETING THE DEADLINES AND POINTS WILL BE TAKEN OFF OF THEIR FINAL SCORE.  The pageant, the host hotel and/or the pageant venue is not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen. Please mark all of your belongings.  All contestants agree to abide by all rules set forth by the pageant in this and all related documents. If, for any reason, a contestant refuses to and/or fails to fulfill the duties and obligations associated with her title, she will surrender any title, including crown and banner, and/or prizes at the sole discretion of the Petite World Pageant.  Should a delegate decide to withdraw from the pageant at any time, under NO circumstances shall she be entitled to a refund, either in full or in part that she and/or any sponsor or advertiser has paid. Each contestant is an independent contractor. As such, she agrees that nothing in this document or any others related to the Petite World Pageant shall create any partnership, joint venture, agency, or employer/employee relationship.  The decisions of the Judges panel are final. Contestants are not to engage in a conversation with any of the Judges at any time before or during the pageant. If a contestant encounters a Judge before or during the pageant weekend, she may exchange a brief hello. If a contestant is engaged in conversation with any of the Judges prior to or during the pageant, the delegate will be disqualified immediately based on the sole discretion of the pageant. 2017 RULES AND REGULATIONS (Continued)  If a country titleholder should win the national title for which they are competing for, they will be subject to a six (6) month Non-Compete clause. This clause is subject to exception at the sole discretion of the Petite World pageant and it is in their titleholder’s contract which all contestants are required to sign before competing in the national pageant. Titleholders will also be subject to a MINIMUM OF TEN (10) APPEARANCES during their reign. If, for any reason, a titleholder refuses to and/or fails to fulfill the duties and obligations associated with her title, she will surrender any title, including crown and banner, and/or prizes at the sole discretion of the Petite World Pageant.

 These rules are subject to change at any time and are at the sole discretion of the national office. Contestants and National Titleholders will be required to sign a code of conduct/rules release. Any questions may be directed to the national office.  Completed forms should be sent to: Petite World Pageants/Triple Crown Productions, LLC, 84 South Street, Morris, Connecticut 06763-1809. The entrant agrees to attend and compete in this year’s Petite World national pageant if selected the winner of her country, and further agrees to abide by all the required services, rules and regulations governing this pageant that are outlined on the website and in the acceptance packet.

The entrant understands that the pageant, nor the pageant venue, is not responsible for any accident or injury incurred in travel to and from the pageant, or at the pageant itself. The entrant will take full responsibility for and agrees to release the Petite World Pageants, Triple Crown Productions, LLC, its directors and agents from all liability to entrant to any losses, damages, claims or debts incurred by or made by entrant in connection with this pageant.
