DORKING FC
There is a problem at Dorking FC at the moment with the goals, which do not conform to the laws of the game. The Management Committee has closed the ground until the necessary renovations have been made. Dorking’s next home league match is not until Saturday 5 October, by which time it is hoped that the problem will have been overcome.
TRAVEL TO EPSOM & EWELL FC (Chipstead FC)
Please note the following, received from Epsom & Ewell FC
As from 14 September 2013, and it looks like a long term thing, HAZELWOOD LANE, which runs from Chipstead Valley up to the White Hart Pub, at the junction on High Road, Chipstead. is closed for roadworks, and has access for residents only. And there are traffic lights for more roadworks right by the White Hart Pub at the top of Hazelwood Lane. So if anyone is coming from Banstead, the way to go is down Woodmansterne Lane to Chipstead Valley by the Hungry Horse Pub, turn left on to the main road, under the railway bridge, and immediately right up How Lane. That takes you to The High Road, Chipstead, past the White Hart Pub, and to the ground. NEWS FROM ALTON TOWN FC Move to new ground now a possibility
Chairman's Update – 16.09.13
We are delighted at the level of support from far and wide - with over 4000 signatures from our online and offline petition. In particular we are encouraged by the consistency of message stressing the heritage of the club and its valuable place in the community.
Alton Town Council, The FA, Hants FA and Sport England have worked with those involved to achieve an outcome that avoids the complete loss of ATFC and to ensure that ATFC continues to participate at step five of the football pyramid, currently the Combined Counties League Premier Division.
Molson Coors have now agreed to a solution that would see them finance the upgrading of the Anstey Park Stadium to Combined Counties League standards (the Town Council are the landlords). This would include up-to-date floodlights and the provision of a 3G artificial grass pitch (approved for match play by the FA). Such improvements would enable Alton United Youth (the current leaseholders) and Alton Town to come together as one larger club and thereby all benefit from these improved facilities.
In the meantime we are working with Alton United Youth to produce a business plan and a process of coming together that would be sustainable into the future.
The re-provision of our football club to Anstey Park (along with a new home for the Bowls club who share our site) is now dependent on Molson Coors or their agents obtaining a favourable planning outcome for the redevelopment of their Sports Ground that is currently our home. They are now in the process of formulating a strategy and timetable for this next stage.
Coors have now confirmed that it is their intention to allow Alton Town FC (and the Bowls club) to remain where they are until the new facilities are completed, assuming a favourable planning outcome remains achievable and supported by all parties involved.
Sincere thanks to everyone who has supported us in whatever form – we are most grateful. A solution is now on the horizon which in itself will be looking for your support.

Conceding three goals inside the opening 26 as the visitors held on and ran the clock down minutes proved a bridge too far for South Park as sufficiently enough to achieve their progress they bowed out of the F.A. Challenge Cup with through to the next round. Budweiser following their replay at Horsham (Isthmian League) Tuesday evening. Goals within One more F.A. Cup replay to reflect on. Aylesbury this said time period came via Ross Morley, Ryan United (Southern League) and Westfield took Marriott and Billy Dunn as the boys from our place Wednesday evening over at Leighton Town League found the going just a step beyond their Football Club (Southern League) - details of which wildest of dreams. Totally stunned by this, 'Park' follow the news of the three Premier Division needed at best to make sure that no further games that took place. The three Premier Division damage scoring wise would be inflicted upon them fixtures produced the following statistics. Croydon certainly before the half time break and thankfully were 2-1 winners at Horley Town, Colliers Wood this was achieved. Second half, the South Park we United likewise at Molesey while, at Vale Farm, know and love came out with much more purpose Wembley, the hosts, recorded a good 4-1 victory and fight which saw them claw back two goals in against Chessington & Hook United. As I write, barely a minute. Hopes were certainly rising at regretfully I do not have to hand any details of that point thanks to these goals from Kieran goalscorers in these matches except for the Lavery. Had it not been for a spectacular save Molesey versus Colliers Wood United encounter. from the home keeper at this stage, who knows For the hosts, it was a first goal in their colours for what would have happened. Jamie Code made it Craig Lewington and, for the visitors, both Marion 4-2 from the penalty spot which all but ended Embalo and Aaron Cole-Bolt were on target. It visiting resistance then, right at the death, Miles was also noted that, over at Walton Road this Mitchell made it five compounding South Park to a same evening, Ross Chalke notched up his 100th rather heavy defeat. Next up for Horsham, a appearance in Molesey colours. home tie with Faversham Town (Isthmian League) later on this month. Switching to Wednesday activity of which there was the one game only involving Aylesbury United Our other replay Tuesday evening guaranteed one and our own Westfield in the F.A. Cup, First Combined Counties League side would go through Qualifying Round Replay, over at Lake Street, to the next round as Camberley Town and Hartley Leighton Buzzard. First half goals from Stacy Fields Wintney went head to head looking for the right on fourteen minutes followed up with a second to head to Eastbourne Town (Isthmian League) from Ben Baines eight minutes later ended the next round. Not quite as dramatic an encounter dream of further glory for the 'Field' for this this one; equally as rewarding, though, financially season despite huge efforts for the remainder of for the winners. With both sides keen to progress, play. Aylesbury United also had a Keith Williams a nervy opening period pursued with little given penalty saved near the end of the contest which either way. However, on thirty minutes, the first also saw a good crowd of 201 attend many of goal of the contest arrived via Shane Hollamby for whom wore the Westfield colours; coincidentally, the visitors. Encouraged by this, the game opened the same crowd that attended the first game at significantly more as hosts Camberley Town Westfield. searched for a leveller.
