b) Meeting Minutes February 5, 2010 c) Call to order Katie Navarro called to order the regular meeting of the Student Government Association at 1:03P.M. on February 5, 2010 in HS. d) Roll call Brittany Benson conducted a roll call.

Coach Baker-Relay for Life April 16-17~ Goal $50k

 We need people to make teams helping with this benefit

 Each participant should have a $100 goal- with this goal you will receive a t-shirt

 The organization that raises the most money will get a monetary prize towards organization and also get a free hillcat shirt saying that you came in first place.

 Baseball season starts next week

 We have been giving promotional item away at basketball games- LED fans, pom-poms, in the future we’ll be giving away koozies, banners

 Last game of the basketball season will be our white out game- 2000 free shirts will be given away!!! f) Secretary

I have tried to contact everyone in my committee, by only got 2 replies- please come see me after the meeting g) Vice President Readers are leaders will be going on for the next 2 weeks. Come sign-up in Student Affairs office- This will be fun!!! Fist week Westside Elem. And 2nd week- Claremont

h) Treasurer Report Josh Mulanax reported that there is $ 17, 032.65 in the SGA budget this year. EC $ 2, 915.03 Student Body $ 13,802.30 Total = $ 17, 032.65  Discussed: If you have a funds proposal have in turned in by Tues i) Public Relations

Please write down meeting times, and turn them in to me after meeting. We need to meet ASAP to come up with t-shirt designs.

SGA email is not working properly- I will get with Katie to fix that soon j) Parliamentarian

 We only have 6 more meetings, so start thinking about offices that you want to run for

Misty wants me to announce that a new organization (Epsilon Sigma Alpha) is looking for new participation, let her know if you’re interested

PR needs about 5-10 people to volunteer to take pics and five quotes after meeting.

*Prize of the week- Money under the chairs (3 winners)!!! n) Student Forum Discussion about:  We need disbursements faster  We need storage areas for student organization  Why do we have higher one cards if we can’t get disbursements sooner?  We should name the Swan Walter  We should have Reading Days (Dead Week)- what is the progress on that?  Why are some RSU vehicles allowed to drive on sidewalks?  Leaf blowers need to keep the leaves from blowing on cars.  Why no paint on Centennial Parking Lot?  We need a side walk at Health Sciences

 VOICE is having a Benefit Concert and Seminars on March 31 for to Write Love on Her Arms- if you or your organization are interested please come and see me after the meeting

 Pi Kappa Alpha will be selling hugs in the Centennial Ctr.

 OIL is Feb. 17-18 – will be selling pancakes  Students Newspaper has information sheet available for interviews and spots in the paper

 President Rice will be discussing student budget at 2pm in Ball Room

 Next Thurs PKA0 Pie a Pledge $1 for pie 3 for $5

 AST selling bracelets for Haiti $2 p) Adjournment
