Remind 101 – ELA 10

This year, in an effort to keep everyone informed, I will attempt to use a program online that allows me to communicate with parents and students via text, while keeping your number and my phone number hidden, so as to ensure privacy.

My Plan:

-To send out a text each evening reminding everyone about homework assignments.

- To send out a text when there are upcoming deadlines for long term projects.

- To send out reminders about tests and quizzes.

What I Need You To Do:

- In order to stay informed I need you to follow the instructions below: Tell people to text @62c8hf to the number 81010 They'll receive a welcome text from Remind. If anyone has trouble with 81010, they can try texting @62c8hf to (716) 402-2189.

If You No Longer Wish To Take Part:

- Simply send a text to the number above, and in the body of the text type STOP

- To keep parents and students informed on assignments

- As this is a new online based technology, please be aware that we are required to get written consent that you have reviewed this program with your student and have decided as a family if this program will be helpful to you or not. Rules:

- When sending messages there will be no swearing or inappropriate messages of any kind. Any messages found to be of an inappropriate nature will be reported and blocked on the site. In addition parental/guardian notification will be made by the instructor, and a printed copy of the inappropriate message will be provided to the parent/guardian, in addition to the administration.
