Bonjour and thank you so much for your interest in having me create a beautiful Exclusive Contemporary Artistic PORTRAIT of you, for you and with you… or to create GREAT PHOTOGRAPHS of anything or anyone that you would like for your PERSONAL life and memories… or that you might need for your BUSINESS or PROFESSIONAL life.

A GREAT and EXCLUSIVE PORTRAIT or PHOTOGRAPH, to own and to have for very many PERSONAL and/or BUSINESS use (as well as COMMEMORATIVE / MEMORABILIA use) and as well as to simply, yet most importantly, capture … YOU (or anything or anyone dear to your world and heart…) and where you are today in your own life’s journey… is indeed something so very important!. All my clients who have commissioned me to do so usually comment to the spirit of “ Why didn’t I do that 5 or 10 years ago as well!?... “ fully realizing the many great emotional, personal, business as well as soulful and meaningful very many values of doing so…

A great photo that captures who we truly are is also, aside from video captures, pretty much the only way to somehow, as I like to often remind my clients of that reality, literally “ freeze time… ”, capturing not only our physical appearance in a very flattering way (as I will of course apply myself to do for you  ), but also and most importantly, to capture and immortalize our soul, spirit and heart, becoming a landmark of wherever it is that we have, to this day, evolved in our own life’s journey…

The famous saying that “The eyes are the window to our soul… ” is so very true and if you only browse through a few of the thousands of portraits that I have created, you will notice how the eyes of the viewer are immediately in deep contact with those of the subject featured… which is exactly what I will create for you… (even in the portraits where, for various artistic and creative reasons, I chose to have my subject look away and not directly at the camera, the viewer is still emotionally drawn to the soul and spirit of the subject featured… just as it should be, in order to bring out the deep humanness of who we are, offering to the camera and to the viewer a most beautiful mix and remembering of our greatest joys and personal evolving..

Let me now tell you, if I may, a few words about the overall context in which I work…

Most photographers charge what they call a “sitting fee” (which is usually $200 to $500+) and they then charge you very high prices for every single print that you might want, making you in the process totally dependent on such fees and prices, whether at the time of your shoot, or at any time in the future whenever you might want to order more prints (and that is of course assuming that they will not have ran out of business in the meantime as too many do, making your photos forever gone and lost…) … but that is not how I choose to work…

I have instead chosen to charge for my time and expertise to do the actual shoot as well as to work on the retouching and post production of your photos and after doing so, I will give you an electronic digital copy (without any watermarks!) of your selected photos, therefore allowing you that way to truly OWN and have total CONTROL over your usage of your portrait … being truly free to use them for your personal use, post them and print them as you wish, as often as you wish and for as long as you will want to do so, for the years and decades to come…

I have always considered that your image should indeed be… YOURS!... and no one else’s … and that is precisely the working context that I choose to offer to all my clients…

My fees to create an ARTISTIC CONTEMPORARY PORTRAIT of you, for PERSONAL USE or BUSINESS/PROFESSIONAL USE (whether you will also use your portrait for specific business use, for a book cover, for a commercial/business website, for your business, for advertisements of your business products or services etc.) are as follows…

For a PHOTO SHOOT at the LOCATION OF YOUR CHOICE within the Raleigh- Durham-Cary-Chapel Hill area, my fees are:

* please see my “ Fees Schedule ” that has already been emailed to you, thank you!... ( please know that North Carolina Sales Tax will be added to all fees from that schedule – that Sales Tax will then be paid back by us to the North Carolina Department of Revenue, as required by law).

I will come to you and do the shoot at any location of your choosing whether it will be your home, your office, a friend’s home or any other location of your choosing private or public … or I can also pick a location for us should you prefer that?... (for a photo shoot outside of the RDU area, whether out of state, or out of the country, please contact me and I will be more than happy to quote you the additional fees and travelling/lodging expenses involved).

My fees will include YOUR ACTUAL PHOTO SHOOT as well also as the retouching/post production/editing/air brushing (which I will personally do).

It will usually take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours to complete the actual photo shoot.

During that time I will shoot anywhere from 200 to 500+ photos of you.

In the days following the shoot, I will then personally (or let you do so if you would like to participate in that process) select the very best PORTRAIT(s)/PHOTO(s) (depending on whether you commissioned me to create a single PORTRAIT for you, or several) and these are the ones which I will touch up and personally work on in post production, before delivering them to you, all ready for you to use or print as you will wish to do so…

Note 1: should you wish to have someone accompany you on your photo shoot (of course only someone who you will be comfortable with and who will understand that you and I(and my assistant if needed) are going to be exclusively and totally focused on YOUR SHOOT ), please know that you are more than welcome to… your significant other, partner, husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend, sibling, child, parent best friend, friend etc… anyone who will be excited and interested by that unique experience and who you would be excited and happy to share it with… And… if you do… I will most probably … make them “work” some  and help us… with their consent and yours of course  Whether to hold a light reflector to bring that perfect spark in your eyes… or holding a lighting strobe to bring a perfect lighting to your entire body… or hold a video camera to create a “behind the scenes” fantastic memory of your whole shoot… or even giving him/her a camera to shoot some “behind the scenes” photos… I will definitely use their help  … so… by all means feel free to bring someone (or a couple of person) to your photo shoot!

Note 2: Should you want to play some MUSIC during your photo shoot (from a CD, IPod® or your cell phone) and as it will get you in a more enjoyable and relaxed spirit please by all means feel free to do so… you can bring your own music player and/or boom box … or you can ask me to bring one and simply bring your IPod®)… In more generic terms, anything and everything that you would want for your photo shoot or that will help you in your modeling (if this is a Modeling Photo Shoot), is of course totally ok with me 

I will discuss with you on the phone prior to the shoot what could be good choices of outfits depending on how you would like to be portrayed and the spirit of your portrait. Ideally you will bring several outfits as well as several choices of shoes and accessorizing/jewelry to the shoot so that we can pick together if needed. Or if you already have your mind set on a particular outfit that you love for any personal reasons, and that you love wearing and being photographed in then … that will be our final choice and a great choice for your photo shoot.

Note: should you want to feature a couple of different outfits during your shoot, you are more than welcome to do that and change in the privacy of my car (large SUV with tinted windows for that very use). Should you choose to do so, we will just dedicate proportionally less time to each outfit in order to stay within the time allocated to your photo shoot.

We will discuss options about that on the phone and prior to booking your photo shoot. If you have any location which you particularly like for personal reasons (your home, a friend’s or family member’s home, a public place, an outdoor place etc…), I will be more than happy to do your photo shoot right there (as long of course as we can get the legal authorization to do so) … and if you would prefer for me to pick a place for your shoot, I will also be more than happy to do that for you. 90% of my photo shoots are done on location but I can also, if needed, and if your preference, recreate a full blown PHOTO STUDIO in just about any location … including anywhere outdoors thanks to all my extensive portable power supplies and equipment. If you prefer the “studio” feel I can also create a more “professional” conservative look for your portraits with grey, black, white and gradient or muslins background as needed.

Note: once you will have decided to commission me, I will ask you to please, if you can, email me (at [email protected]) copies of various photos that you might find on line and which appeal to you… photos which you will overall “like” and relate to… discovering what you like will allow me to build a good sense of what is indeed appealing to you and of what you emotionally connect to… thank you for that additional help if you do have the time to do so… (this is not a requirement at all but just a valuable extra source of information for me if you happen to have the time to do so). You can also click on a few “Like” in “Facebook™ on some of the shots from any of my portfolios which particularly appeal to you, and as I will receive notice of your “Likes” I will also learn that way a little more about what appeals to your heart and to your soul…

The standard in our industry of professional photographers is that the photographer always keeps the full Copyrights to the photos that he/she creates (except in the case where the clients would want to purchase such rights and which is always part of a separate agreement - please contact me if you do for a quote on that option) but the MODEL RELEASE which I will need to have you fill out, sign and mail us at the time of your booking (along with your deposit to reserve your photo shoot date and time – please go to the following link to print it:

Our first and foremost objective will of course be to create a great PORTRAIT of you but you will also have the unlimited rights to use your portraits to email to friends and family, to use on Facebook™ and any and all other personal social internet websites. You will also of course have the rights to print them as you will so wish for any and all personal use.

All of my clients, friends and business partners who have known me for years (even decades for many of them), my PERSONAL INTEGRITY, MORALS and ETHICS are of outmost importance to me and always my very first priority (my other two top priorities are the absolute level of comfort of my clients during all my photo shoots, as well as their absolute and total satisfaction).

So, if for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER (and you of course do NOT need to tell me or “justify” your reason(s) – all you need is to simply let me know so  ), you would like for me to keep the photographs that I will create for you TOTALLY and 100% CONFIDENTIAL, all you have to do is to mention it to me by email and I simply and absolutely WILL! (and to make sure that I DID receive your request , please make sure that you do receive a response/confirmation about it from me (1 or 2% of my thousands of emails exchanged does unfortunately gets lost for technical reasons beyond our control so I would never want you to just assume that I did get your request when I actually never did…)).

Otherwise, I do include from time to time some photos from some of my client’s photo shoots in my many various portfolios, Facebook®’s portfolios, various marketing material etc… and as it is such a great joy to share with many all the beauty and love which I am so privileged as to capture in my photographs, so should you prefer for me to NEVER do so, all you have to do is ask me and you have my personal word that I never will.

For most of my client’s photo shoots, I also save a copy of their final designed photographs, both at my home and also in a safe at the bank (I duplicate all as any

I do so as a favor to them (several of my clients, over the years, have deeply enjoyed the benefits of those back ups - they would contact me explaining how their own computer just crashed and how they were now devastated as they never got to back up their cherished and priceless portraits of their child (or any photograph that they commissioned me to create for them) … but I could hear such a tremendous relief in their voice when I could so happily tell them that … “Yes !... I probably have a back up for you... even if it was 5 years ago…”.

But for those backups as well, if for ANY personal reason, you would prefer for me to NOT keep any single copy of any of your photos (and such situation does from time to time happens so please by all means do not feel “strange” in any ways asking me to do so… these photographs, whatever is on them, are YOUR LIFE and you and you only should decide where they should reside…) and you want me to also ERASE any and all copies from all my back ups once I deliver the final photographs to you, please also let me know in writing and I will make sure that this is precisely what I do for you.

Just a few simple examples of reasons why my clients have asked me to follow that protocol over the years… for their Pregnancy Portraits, for Portraits of their Children, for Architectural photographs of their Private Residence, for their Photographs of Private and Personal Memorabilia or Objects, for their Intimate Portraits etc… and sometimes out of the very simple wish to have total control of their personal privacy.

So, once again, I will be more than happy to do EXACTLY what YOU will prefer… YOUR total comfort and peace of mind are my absolute priority and all my clients know it firsthand from having so kindly offered to me their total trust over the years, having hired me to photograph for them the most intimate moments of their lives, as well as their most precious belongings…

Once I will have completed the post production/retouching of your final PORTRAIT(s), I will then upload them to a private internet link where you will be able to download them directly to your own computer (to as many computers as you will wish) and the final portraits will now be in your hands and yours to use forever as you will so wish… as well as to be able to copy them to a memory card or stick to bring them to be printed to any printer of your choosing.

Important: should you wish a specific final FORMAT/CROPPED SIZE for how your final photo(s) will be delivered to you (4x6? 5x7? 8x10? Etc…) please let me know PRIOR to the shoot. Otherwise I will crop and size the final photos in whichever sizes are more appropriate and most flattering to each photo.

Please know that I will PERSONALLY do the post production/skin touch ups/retouching on your portraits...

I will do so as I find it very much part of the entire process of creating and designing your portraits, allowing me for additional artistic and creative input on your portraits, something which I just would never sub contract to an outside company as many photographers do (or have my assistant or a third person do)… that process and the hours spent on your photos is for me just as important as the shoot itself.

Note: the retouching which is included in your fee is a basic overall retouching (skin, eyes, overall contrast and brightness etc… ) but should you want a specific additional retouching (removal of an object in the photo, change of color of part or all of an outfit etc…) please feel free to ask me for a quote on doing that for you. We can do just about (“almost”  everything) that you could ever want to be done or think of in advanced Photoshop™ expertise, it is always only a matter of how much time need to be spent on it, so if you have anything in particular coming to your mind, or that you might dream of, please never hesitate to mention it…

Should your budget allow you to hire one, the cost of using the services of a great makeup Artist and/or Hair Stylist will be worth every penny in its contribution to the quality of your final photos (I can provide you if you wish with a list of makeup Artists to choose from… whether you need someone local, out of state or out of the country depending on where we will do your photo shoot).

Whether you are a woman or a man, I very much recommend hiring a professional for your make up as a great makeup artist will make a big difference in the quality and finesse of your final shots. This is of course not a “pre requisite” for me to create your portrait and I will of course be more happy to create your portraits either without any makeup or with the makeup which you will have done yourself but if you can afford the minimal extra cost, please know that bringing on board for your photo shoot a great makeup Artist is always a wise decision…

The cost is usually around $125+ and some makeup Artists are also skilled Hair Stylists and can handle both should you wish to do so.

Other options are also of course doing your own make up prior to the shoot, or having a friend who is very skilled at it do it for you, or using the services of one of the makeup Artists at the makeup counter of the major brands at Nordstrom™ or any department store for example (I can there also recommend you specific makeup Artists – and please know that, like for everything else in life, very sadly not everyone is equally skilled at what they do and some of them might also not know the subtleties and particular techniques which are required for a photo shoot).

Also if you do know that your skin has a tendency to easily get “shiny”, using the services of a good makeup Artist will also make a major difference in your final photos.

As a final note on that subject, please remember that every single actor, actress, public figures etc… creating headshots or modeling shots or professional shots will, even if it is not that obvious on the final photo, be wearing makeup (whether female or male) so if you can afford it, I really suggest that you use such services… but if you are on a budget and cannot afford it (or if you are really great at doing your own makeup), I of course understand that and this is totally OK … I just wanted to mention that extra option…

I am usually booked for 2 to 3 months in advance simply due to the high demand and interest for the kind of portraits which I create for my clients. So, should you wish to hire me to create a portrait for you /of you, the most urgent thing to do will always be to book a shooting date and time. Once we will have done so, we will then have plenty of time to talk about the location, outfit, script and spirit etc…

Also please know that I have quite frequently some new openings, mostly due to changes of deadlines for magazines or modeling clients, so if you would like for me to create a portrait or headshot for you in an urgent manner and in the coming days/weeks please know that I will be happy to put you on a waiting list - and as soon as any openings happen you will be notified by email and the first person to reserve it will be able to benefit from that earlier date.

I will be able to book the time and date of your shoot (as well as benefit from being added to my waiting list if you need your shoot done quickly and would like to be contacted as soon as I will have an earlier opening from another shoot being rescheduled as it sometimes happens) after receiving a deposit for 25% of the amount of your photo shoot (that deposit is not refundable if you decide to cancel your shoot less than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled shooting date - also if you were to ask to reschedule your shoot less than 72 hours from the scheduled shooting date, that deposit will become a "rescheduling fee" and a new deposit will be due (as well as the full remainder of the due fee (+ NC Sales Tax)).
