The Presbytery’s Mission Partnership Committee has budgeted some limited funds for 2017 in support of small evangelism projects within congregations. We encourage sessions to ask themselves, “If our church received an evangelism grant from presbytery in the range of $350 - $500, what would we do with it? What program or process could we initiate with it, to reach people of our community with the gospel, and welcome them to participate with us as followers of Jesus?”

We recognize that most churches are feeling a serious financial pinch these days, and that many church budgets don’t currently include a line item for evangelism. These grants are designed to help your church initiate a specific evangelism outreach project of some kind. We recognize that many churches feel pinched in a number of areas; nevertheless, please do note that these grants are not for other ordinary church expenses, such as utilities, repairs and maintenance, ongoing program costs, and so on.

Please consider, then, how your congregation might initiate a program to reach out to welcome the people of your community to participate with you in worship, fellowship, stewardship, and discipleship, as followers of Christ our Lord. We look forward to your application.
