II. United Online, Inc – Juno / NetZero / Bluelight (Headquarters – Woodland Hills, CA) : Principal Web Producer Aug 2007 – January 2008

Responsibilities:

 Directing Web Producers designing and producing all company web sites.  Working independently & coordinating the work of other Web Producers, Product and Project Managers, Graphic Designers, Servlet Engineers and QA.  Work with Web Development group to coordinate any back-end development including XML feeds and Java Servlets.  Act as Web Development project lead on major project rollouts: directing the work of the team, determining content and making design decisions.  Duties within projects included: Leadership, Coordination, Analysis, Design, Documentation, Coding, Graphic Design, Site Architecture, User Interface design, Site Strategy, Testing, and coordinating with Software Development, Project and/or Product Management.  Train staff and stay on top of new developments in the area of Interactive Design.

Major projects worked on:

a. Web Registration Redesign: This involved moving the current registration flow to a different platform (from in house technologies to JSP / Java). The registration flow includes a number of products & their permutations & combinations. Apart from the change in technology, this web registration system has been re-designed for a better user experience.

My role here was to lead & also contribute to the development of this project from a front-end stand-point. b. Extent DSL registration to include DSL ATT Sonic: United Online, Inc. signed up with ATT Sonic to offer their DSL service through our brands – Juno & NetZero. This required us to allow for these new signups within our current DSL registration system which is built in JSP / Java.

I was the lead web developer for this project and my job required me to contribute to the front-end design and development for the various channels of signup.

c. Satellite broadband: Lead the front-end development effort to add the latest product “satellite broadband” into the web and phone registration system. Also train web developers on JSTL and the web registration system.

The company's services include Internet access, accelerated dial-up services, premium email, and personal Web-hosting and domain services.

Responsibilities:

My objective was to lead the Web Team, providing technical input where required, ensuring fair allocation and organization of projects and also motivating and enabling each member to contribute and gain recognition.

o My responsibilities also included a range of activities related to the management and upkeep of UOL's Web sites, including o Content integration o Design refinement o Training new recruits o Project management o Documentation of existing processes and technologies; and o Development of relationships with WLV/NYC counterparts.

Vasishta technologies, founded in 1996, is a subsidiary of Biological E Limited (a pharmaceutical company). The company provides software solutions to clients across the globe, focusing on enabling Internet technologies.
