FRONT OF HOUSE SPEAKER SYSTEM: > Engineer with clearcom mic/headset > Cabinets: EAW 850 or 650 or 300 and EAW SB850 (NOT SB1000). Alternates: Meyer Sound, Apogee, EV Deltamax, Clair, MSI, Showco, DB, or other national touring sound company system. > Subs: should be 18" speakers in a front loaded enclosure for indoor showshorn loaded or folded horn subs are preferred for outdoor shows. > System must be sufficient to evenly cover the expected sold seating area of the room including balcony, in stereo, and delay speakers on a separate stereo delay line if prudent for that hall. MIXING CONSOLE: > IMPORTANT: Minimum 34 channels > Soundcraft, Yamaha Professional Series (NOT 2408s or MI Series), Crest, Mackie or Allen & Heath > Must be located in the rear center of the hall, preferably not under balcony > Minimum 2 band sweepable EQ on all channels > Minimum 8 effects sends (all must be post-eq); subtract 5 if onstage monitor mix > Stereo output with capability to send stereo feed to recording device and Talkback from FOH to stage MONITOR SYSTEM: > Engineer with clearcom mic/headset to communicate with FOH during performance and soundcheck > Stagehand with clearcom mic/headset to assist with soundcheck and during performance > (7) Seven wedge monitors with (1) one mix each and a separate amplifier for each wedge. > Must be bi-amped. Same brands as spec’d in FOH speaker manufacturers. > Note: Lead vocalist Lorin Sklamberg uses in-ear wireless monitor system (mono). He travels with his own wireless system (No rental needed, unless otherwise specified). > Onstage monitor mix strongly preferred with (8) Eight discreet mixes. Direct communication line required from FOH to Monitor Mixer. > (6) Six, 1/3 octave EQ’s as spec’d above. No effects in monitors necessary. OUTBOARD GEAR: (2) two channels of high quality 1/3 octave eq, Klark Teknik, BSS, Yamaha Q1027 (NO Yamaha Q2032), DBX or other similar (8) eight channels of insertable compression with insert cables DBX, BSS, Symetrix or other similar (1) one Noise Gate (2) two Stereo Digital Reverbs (Yamaha Rev7, SPX 90II or higher, Lexicon or TC Electronics) (1) one Digital Delay (Yamaha SPX, Lexicon PCM 42) (1) one Digital or Analog Recording device to record from console (1) one CD player MICROPHONES AND DIRECT INPUTS: (9) nine Shure SM Beta 58s (vocals) (6) six Shure SM 57s (4) four AKG 451s with CK5 capsule or 4 Shure SM 81s (or other condensor for drum OH) (3) three Sennheiser 421s (1) one Seinheiser 604 (tom, tom) mic for banjo (6) six Active Direct boxes (preferance: Countryman) > note: violin & guitar bring their own active DI phantom powered preamps

For Frank London: (1) one Korg M1 on keyboard stand. MUST HAVE factory standard sound settings and sustain pedal (acceptable substitutes: Kurzweil, Roland) (1) one appropriate keyboard amplifier For Paul Morrissett: (1) one bass guitar amplifier (160 Watts Minimum; SWR preferred; Trace Elliot or Ampeg are also good choices) (1) one SWR bass cab (either 4x10” or 1x15”, NEVER 8x10”) (1) one “X-Style” keyboard stand to hold hammered dulcimer For Lorin Sklamberg: (1) one acoustic grand piano OR (1) one sampler sound keyboard on keyboard stand. MUST HAVE factory standard sound settings, weighted keys, sustain pedal and be tuned to A440 and (1) one appropriate keyboard amplifier (1) one acoustic guitar stand For Boo Reiners: (1) one original ‘Blackface’ Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp or Bassman Reissue > suitable substitution: the Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp reissue or Fender Hot Rod DeVille (3) two guitar stands (1) one U.S. quad (4 input) power box or strip > NOTE: If no monitor wedge is available, then please add 12” keyboard amp for acoustic manual monitoring. FOH will still use mic sound.
