PREPARE FOR OUR PROJECTS BY BRINGING 8 PHOTOS BY SEPTEMBER 12TH

4 Landscape Photos 8 Flower Photos

You must have the photos to work on the projects throughout the year. This means you cannot decide to simply not have a photo. Without the photos, you cannot work on your project which means you will get very behind in your grade. So bring the photos ASAP. Your Chromebook has a camera app you can use so everyone will have access to a camera though you can use a phone or a regular camera too.

 It is best for the photo to be taken by you. If not, it may only be taken by family: parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, or brother/sister. This is due to copyright laws and contest guidelines. ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNET PHOTOS!!

 The photo may be old. For instance, it may be taken by great-great grandparents on a vacation in China long ago. In other words, the photo may have been developed in a dark room. So, the photo may be the "old fashion type" and taken out of the family photo album.

 The photo may be taken by a digital camera, regular camera, your Chromebook or a cell phone. The photo may be taken by you this evening on the way home or it may have been taken a hundred years ago.

 It is preferable that you send the photos to be printed at a store such as CVS/Walgreens/Walmart as opposed to printed on a home computer. The quality is higher and better for our projects and they last longer. Walgreens photos are $.29 each.

 The photo MUST be a hardcopy – You may work from a photo on your Chromebook, but only if you print it out as a hard copy first to show me so I can guide you.

 The print must be in color.

 It is recommended to bring as many photos as you wish so that you have a lot of photos from which to select the best composition. It is highly doubtful that I will approve all of your photos so take as many as possible to have a large choice. The landscape photos should not to be just one flower or a bush of flowers. Save those photos for your flower photos.

Make sure you use the rule of thirds when you are taking the landscape photographs – your subject should NOT be in the exact center of your photograph.

LANDSCAPE - The landscape photos must be of trees, a creek, a pond, a lake, an ocean, hills, or mountains, etc. They must not have people or animals in them. Your photos must have a focal point. FLOWER - The flower photos must be of 1-2 closeup flowers with high detail.
