Urgent Message from Welbourn

Dear Parishioner Urgent Message from Welbourn Neighbourhood Plan Group As you are aware the Government has directed each County to identify potential sites for housing development between now and 2031. The allocation of the new build for Central Lincolnshire is 42,000 houses, of which 9500 are to be distributed among rural villages including Welbourn. The plan in this section shows four sites in Welbourn put forward by landowners for consideration to be included in the site allocations strategy. If these sites are accepted, there is a real possibility that planning permission would be granted which would lead to these sites being developed for housing or commercial purposes. To ensure that your voice is heard, it is essential that you let us have your views and comments on the survey form in this section. Please complete the form and drop it into the red letterbox on the wall in the car park area of the Village Hall. We will then forward these to the Central Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Unit. There is an engagement event being hosted by the Central Lincolnshire Joint Planning Unit at The Venue, Navenby on Monday 17 June 2013 from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm. If you wish to find out more and make your views known, please attend. If you want more information about this, please go to: www.central-lincs.org.uk/ldf The enormity of these proposals illustrates the need for the production of the Welbourn Neighbourhood Plan. What do you do now? Complete the form attached giving your comments on the allocation of sites being considered and return it as soon as possible. You can find out more about the Welbourn Neighbourhood Plan by going to the Welbourn Parish Council website which is: http://parishes.lincolnshire.gov.uk/Welbourn/ Every parishioner is entitled to express their views.
