Application for Instructor Revalidation

Instructor Qualifications for the Dinghy, Keelboat and Powerboat Program are valid for 5 years, with the exception of an Assistant Instructor Qualification which has no validation period.

Instructors are the face of Sailing and providing high quality training to participants is key to keeping them involved in the sport.

The purpose of Instructors revalidating is to ensure they are up to date with any developments within the Australian Sailing Programs and are delivering training to the standards we require from the National Program.

The process of revalidation helps to ensure:  accredited Instructors are actively instructing  Instructors stay abreast of Program changes, and safety requirements  there is an up-to-date register of active Instructors across Australia.  areas for professional development opportunities are identified to help to continually develop Instructors skills For a full outline of what is required to revalidate, please refer to the Revalidating of Qualifications Sheet which can be found on the Australian Sailing Website under the Education and Training section.

In signing this form you agree to continue to work in accord with both the Instructor/Coach Code of Conduct and the Discover Sailing Centre Operating Standards and Guidelines, up to date copies of which are available on the Australian Sailing website under the Education & Training. Please check your email address is recorded in MySailor, (your own access to the national myClub system), to ensure you will receive regular updates and newsletters to assist you in your role as Instructor.
