POST TITLE : Senior Driver; POST LEVEL: GS-3 DATE ISSUED : 3 March 2014; CLOSING DATE: 16 March , 20 14 DUTY STATION: Dhaka; CONTRACTUAL STATUS : Fixed-Term (FT);

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 50% Driving: Drive UNICEF vehicle for Representative and other high-ranking officials.

10% Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for the day-to-day preventive maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., Performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean. Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc. Reports in writing any mechanical and/or electrical malfunctions of vehicle and initiate proactive action for maintenance. Ensures that all required the steps are taken in case of an accident 20% Vehicle Scheduling: Arrange vehicle scheduling during travel within Dhaka. Also arrange scheduling of vehicle for travel to field in consultation with Transport Supervisor. 5% Protocol duties: Receive high level UNICEF official personnel at the airport and facilitates immigration and customs formalities at the airport. Receive the imported new vehicles from Chittagong port with proper checking of vehicle spares and accessories of vehicles as per shipping documents 5% Training of Trainers: Participate in the training of Trainers course organized by UNDSS and other Training of Trainers courses for the Drivers. 5% Radio Check: Facilitate VHF Radio Check on Fortnightly basis and HF radio Check on monthly basis 5% Any other: Performs any other assigned duties as required Minimum Requirements:

Education : Primary education; driver’s license (valid driving license; knowledge of driving rules and regulations and chauffeur courtesies, skills in minor vehicle repair, initiative and discretion.

Experience: Four year’s work experience as a driver; safe driving record.

Language Proficiency : Fluency in English and very good working knowledge of Bangla
