ii 1. LANDISC CONFIGURATION WORKSHEET
Common Network Drive Letter:______
Project UNC/Share:______
Project Directory:______
Project Name: ______
The Common Network Drive Letter must be the same as the network drive letter that Landisc was installed into on the Server. Every workstation must use this same drive letter.
The Project UNC/Share is the computer name and shared location of the Landisc Server where the project is located. An example is “\\landisc-server\landisc”, where “\\landisc-server” is the computer name of the Landisc Server, and “\landisc” is the name of the shared location where the Landisc project exists.
The Project Directory is the drilled down path to the Landisc Project.
The Project Name is the designated name of the Landisc Project. Every workstation must use the same project name. There are no exceptions.
Universal Naming Convention (UNC): A naming convention for files that provides a machine-independent means of locating the file. A UNC name will usually include a reference to a shared location accessible over a network rather than specified by a drive letter and path.
