PETITION State here the judgment you seek from the court, e.g. that the respondent should pay a certain price for a purchase, deliver a certain product, pay a certain amount in outstanding wages, pay a certain amount in compensation for, for example, loss of income from employment or damaged clothing.
State here also whether you want the respondent to pay your legal expenses and if so the amount you claim.

V D BACKGROUND TO THE PETITION Give an account here of the circumstances underlying the dispute and describe what the disagreement between you and the opposite party concerns and state also how you expect the respondent to respond to the petition.
