MAIN PROJECT:

TITLE: Production of Pig Iron and Steel Billets at SJK Steel Plant, Tadipatri.

ABSTRACT: The Project titled “study of production of steel” at SJK Steel plant, Tadipatri. Mainly deals about the production of steel with the help of the raw material by using the Blast furnace.

Steel applications are the becoming increasingly popular throughout the world. Few areas in the world have right bright conditions to ensure the suitable purpose. It is commonly extracted from the iron ore. By adding the impurities the iron ore is formed in the pig iron.

In the present project, the steel billets are extracted from the pig iron. The pig iron is extracted from the raw materials like iron ore, coal, dolomite, lime stone etc. After extracting the pig iron is then refined in the Basic oxygen furnace, Ladle refining furnace, Electric arc furnace. After refining it is moved to the continuous casting machine for preparing the steel billets.
