SSHP Executive Board Meeting August 23, 2011

I. Monthly Meeting: 09/15/11; 12 noon (Introduction to Organization / Speaker: Joel Melroy)

II. Officers

1. President

- ASHP

 Midyear: New Orleans, December 4th-8th, Student ASHP member $250, non-member 325

 Email: hotel, registration, transportation

 November 21st registration closes

 Facebook group – networking – connection; worth joining because you save $75

 One free student registration

 Need project or poster that showcases a project we did – Jessica, Derek, and Carrie

- SSHP Clinical Skills:

 first week of October

 Winner will go to nationals on Friday

 Choose date once exam schedule is finalized – need to have early in order to get written scores back

 3 Non-SCCP judges needed; 2 USC/MUSC

- SCSHP

 Fall Meeting; Columbia, October 27th - Speaker

 Joel Melroy SCSHP President Elect

 Asking to come speak

 Invite all to come to first meeting (September 15th)

 2 videos; one shown at first meeting, and second at second meeting

 Form fundraising committee at first meeting

 Need to reschedule October meeting

2. Vice President Crisis Ministries update

- Sign ups for upcoming year: one month for month of September - October, November, December all together once P1s join

Other volunteer activities

 Vaccine drive: Have to have portion to be counted as project for SSHP recognition

 Should get vaccines for free, but some money to help if needed.

 Get wish list from crisis

 Form bare slideshow for first meeting

 Ideas on website for projects…big on community 

 High school involvement: show all the many roles of pharmacist

3. Secretary - Lunch sign up email!!! Please sign up by Monday the 12th - Decide what to order: Pizza
