Part 2- Classroom learning

Question for Week —

Your final project, due at week 12, is to design one last activity that will help you develop in each of the four growth areas you were supposed to write about last week.

I) So, for this week (week 11), please first restate your four areas for growth. II) Second, now write out your plan/proposal for your final assessment/organizing project. This should be something that needs to be done to advance your organizing work in any case. BUT, it should also self- consciously take into consideration your areas for growth outlined in the four points above. Please explain how this project will help you grow in the four target areas.

Your final project write up, due by Wednesday of Week 12, should be 3 to 5 pages. It should include a description of your last project, an explanation of how it will advance the social justice organizing work you are doing (why it is good for your organization/project), and an explanation of how it helped you grow in the four target areas you identified. Please be specific, referencing what you actually did and how it actually helped you. If, on the other hand, you found that your project did not have the desired effect—that is it in fact did NOT help you grow as you wanted— then please describe what you would/should have done differently to achieve this result.

Conclude your final assessment with at least 300 words on what you learned and how you grew as a result of this fellowship, what worked best, and what changes you might propose for the future of this program.

For your reference, I am re-stating the four areas for growth you should incorporate into your final project.

1. Emotional Intelligence 2. Technical Skills 3. People Skills 4. Critical areas of knowledge
