Hamilton Niagra Haildimand Brant LHIN: Job Posting SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER Location: Hamilton Position Type: Full-time, Contract Open to Renewal Compensation type: Salary Education: University degree, Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent, preferred Preferred Experience: Minimum 10 years of project management experience in developing and implementing large scale projects preferably in the health care sector. Intro The Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is one of 14 LHINs that have been established in Ontario. Our mandate is to plan, coordinate, integrate and fund health-care services at the regional level.

Reporting This position reports to the HNHB LHIN Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Overview This individual is responsible for establishing and managing a Project Management Office located in the Hamilton Region. This person is also accountable for planning, tracking and controlling e-Health initiatives of the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant LHIN.

Responsibilities  Liaison with Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care on topics of common interest  Establish, develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and users  Set up and manage the project office  Responsible for managing all project aspects including staffing, resource and funding  Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements  Ensure project goals and objectives are defined and the deliverables are met  Ensure standards of practice are adopted and implemented  Prepare budgets, financial reports on funded projects  Monitor and evaluate program/project results and oversee post-implementation evaluation  Participate in development of IM/IT strategic plan  On as needed basis, travel to project sites to oversee/monitor project activities

Qualifications  Superior project management and problem solving skills  Demonstrated experience in presenting project reports to senior management and external audiences and stakeholders  Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines  Ability to exercise initiative, tact and judgment  Excellent verbal and written communication skills  Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment  Ability to work independently with limited direction  Demonstrated experience in directing complex concurrent projects  Bilingualism an asset Please forward your cover letter and résumé to [email protected] by 10/31/2008, noting “Senior Project Manager” in the subject line.
