First Hot Dog Lunch Please note the following date change for our first hot dog lunch: Due to the Fall Supper preparations being held at the school on Friday, October 3rd, the first hot dog lunch for K-12 will be moved to Thursday, October 2nd.  As a new school season kicks off we say a sad farewell to Ms. Mackenzie but we are delighted to welcome Mr. Streisel to complete our music team with Mr. Martin. Mr. Streisel will be teaching in Aberdeen and South Corman Park and will be involved will all ensembles. Mr. Streisel comes to after Directing Band at North Battleford Comprehensive for three years.

 The Band Parents Association is in urgent need of Parent volunteers in several positions this year after several graduations. Please contact Mr. Martin if you can help in any capacity.

 It is not too late to sign up for music classes! If you have played before, want to try a new instrument or want to start playing we want you! See Mr. Martin on any day 1 or 4 or contact him via email [email protected]

COUGAR NEWS (GR.7-12)

SCHOOL FITNESS CENTER (Gr. 7-12) Students are encouraged to sign up for Fitness Center Memberships. Cost = $15 / school year. Parent information & consent forms are available at the PE office, main office or on the school website in the Student Info folder. Membership gives students access to the Fitness Center before & after school & during the lunch hour.

SCC NEWS The SCC will be hosting a Fall Supper on Friday, October 3rd in the old gym. Limited tickets and seating – tickets are available at Clavet School Office or Clavet Store Adults $12 Children 6-12 $6under 6 - free Show Your Pride

In your student, your athlete, and our school by purchasing a Cougar Nation License Plate. Decorate your locker or room Give as a stocking stuffer to your grandparents or other family members Or just put it on your vehicle!

Price $10.00 These license plates are available at the school office or you can email Brenda Lawrence at [email protected]. All proceeds go to the Clavet School Playground Initiative.

COMMUNITY NEWS Students for Hire

Are there any students who want their name added to the “Student for Hire List” to work in the Clavet Arena Kitchen.

Responsibilities include: – Opening and closing the kitchen – Selling products – Food preparation – General cleaning

You may be hired by Figure Skating or Hockey parents to work their scheduled shifts or by the rink board to work some hockey games or events.

We will be holding a short orientation course to teach kitchen procedures in the near future for those who are new to the kitchen or would like a refresher. If interested, I will contact you with the date.

Clavet Skating Club is proud to offer quality programs led by professional Skate Canada certified coaches. Clavet Skating Club is affiliated with and sanctioned by SkateCanada. THE CLAVET COMMUNITY YOUTH ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY TRIP is going to Italy and Greece in 2016. Any students taking art 10/20/30 or photo 10/20/30 during the year of the trip are eligible to come on this once in a lifetime trip. 1. Taming the Worry Dragons (For parents and children ages 8 to 12) This group is designed to support children ages 8 to 12 years of age as they explore their feelings of fear, anxiety, and worry in a supportive environment.

Parents are required to attend the concurrent parenting component.
