1. MAERSK charter: air-gun seismic survey in South-Wes Atlantic; 2. SIXT charter: ground sampling for environmental control at oil-fields between Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande;
3. MAERSK charter: air-gun seismic survey east of Porto do Forno;
4. CHEVRON charter: Search and rescue of lost buoys at deep water site east off port of Vittoria;
5. PETROBRAS charter: ground sampling for environmental control at oil-fields east off Brasilia coast; during the charter bow thruster was broken and DP system disabled respectively. To save the charter I had to learn how to take a grab at depth of 2000 mtrs of grounding point 50 mtrs diameter without DP, just manually. It was quite a challenge and very interesting. The vessel completed this charter in due time, without delay. Moreover, having experience of manual deep water ground sampling all deck personnel learned so good of vessel’s behavior, that grounding at shallow water (less than 50 mtrs) was completed 2 weeks earlier than scheduled.
6. Government of Brazil charter: electro-magnetic gun survey east off Ilheus; during the charter port side ME get broken. To save the charter I had to learn very quickly if it’s possible to navigate the vessel with stbd engine only and maintain the accuracy of the line within 1 meter. After that, I’ve taught officers and deck watch personal to do it in the right way, as the autopilot was not able to steer the vessel at one engine. Although it was not easy but charter’s representative were content with ship’s performance (speed and accuracy), and we’ve completed the charter in accordance with schedule.
7. Occasional deliveries of supplies to oil rigs.
8. In August-2015 the vessel sailed to Curacao and landed at scrap yard.

COVER LETTER
Re: Deep Sea Operations Role competencies
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am 52 years old, motivated, enthusiastic, qualified and highly professional Ukrainian Deep sea captain. I hold a Certificate of Competency of Master on ships of 500 gross tonnage or more, and a DP advanced certificate.
I have fluent English communication, writing and reporting skills, advanced PC skills, as well as worldwide seagoing and offshore experience. Since 1998, when I started my career as a Master, for all vessels (including bulk carriers, tanker and container vessels) I have taken the initiative to improve reporting.
I have created Trim & Stability and Draft Survey programs in Excel, which were running fully automatically (requesting initial data input only) and results of calculations were printed out as standard T&S form. The developed system worked extremely well for my company. For example, we had to load the vessel with as much as 15000 of sugar from Paranagua to Tallinn (3 weeks voyage), so as to arrive at an even keel with limited draft. The vessel was loaded in accordance with my calculation and on arrival, and the difference between the system calculated and real draft was just 5 cm.
During my seagoing and offshore career, I gained experience dealing with diverse crews. I have successfully finished many contracts and was never charged with “negligence of good seamanship” or disobeying Office orders. Because of my experience, understanding of the vessel and seas, as well as deep knowledge of Rules and Regulations I have avoided quite a number of risks related to close quarter situations.
I have 4 years offshore experience, as a Master of seismic research vessel GSO Marechal Rondon (DP0) and tug boat Doha III. During projects with GSO, I have faced some challenges and dealt with them successfully. For example, at one instance, the electro-magnetic gun survey east off Ilheus (doing 50 000 meters lines); during the charter port side ME broke. By request of the Office to save the charter I had to learn very quickly to navigate the vessel with starboard engine only and maintain the accuracy of the line within 0,5 meter. After that experience, I have taught officers and deck watch personnel to do it in the right way, as the autopilot was not able to steer the vessel with one engine. This helped to improve the crew's readiness for emergency situations.
On another project (deepwater ground sampling for environmental control at oilfields east off Brasilia coast); during the charter bow thruster was broken and DP system disabled respectively. In order to save the charter, I had to learn how to take a grab at depth of 2000 meters of grounding point 50 meters diameter without DP, just manually. It was quite a challenge, but very interesting. The vessel completed this charter in due time without delay. Moreover, having experience of manual deep water ground sampling all deck personnel learned so good of vessel’s behavior that grounding at shallow water (less than 50 meters) was completed 2 weeks earlier than scheduled.
In general, I was able to complete every task faced by the vessel, regardless of technical or weather conditions.
In my future job, I can assure my employer to do everything to fulfill the requirements of the role, and effectively deal with challenging situations. Should you have any further questions related to my expertise, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
