Job Description

A Gust of Sun Winery & Vineyard is seeking a Full-time Tasting Room Manager for our new tasting room located at 5324 Ridge Road West Spencerport, NY 14559 (A Gust of Sun East).

Responsibilities Include:

 Overseeing daily operation of the tasting room.

 Scheduling and supervising tasting room staff.

 Inventory management, ordering, and merchandise displays.

 Planning and executing on-site events.

 Scheduling and staffing off-site events in the Rochester area.

 POS System Management.

 Delivering superior customer service.

 Training of tasting room and event staff.

 Designing bi-weekly newsletters.

 Open communication with the owners.

Qualifications:

 Good at organization of tasks and people.

 Experience in wine sales.

 Excellent customer service skills.

 Passion for wine and willingness to learn more.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 Must be able to lift 40+ lbs.

 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.

 Availability Thursday – Monday; weekends mandatory

 Tasting room management preferred.

The A Gust of Sun East Tasting Room Manager will be a self-motivated individual who takes pride in their job. They love to interact with customers and other employees. Customers will feel welcomed and well taken care of when in the tasting room. The Tasting Room Manager will oversee day-to-day operation of the tasting room including staffing, merchandising, and customer experience. They are trained and know how to identify and tend to inebriated individuals. They are knowledgeable about A Gust of Sun Winery & Vineyard, The Niagara Wine Trail, New York State wine regions, and wine in general. This Tasting Room Manager will maintain a clean and orderly tasting room that excels in customer experience.
