Today’s I/E focus is Non-Fiction Writing. Students you will be developing your writing skills throughout the year to be proficient writers.

Attention all eighth graders: There will be a very important parent / student meeting for all those interested in attending the Washington DC trip in May. The meeting is in the library tonight for students with last names A-M and tomorrow, October 22 from 6-7PM for last names N-Z. We will discuss the trip itinerary, cost of the trip, student expectations, and requirements.

Yearbook will meet on Thursday, Oct. 22nd this week from 3:20-4:00. We will be choosing a theme and a cover for the yearbook. Please plan to attend and have a ride arranged for 4:00 pm. The meeting will be held in Ms. Morgan's room, Room 120. See you there!

Just a reminder to Student Council: We will be meeting in the Library from 3:15 to 4:15. PLEASE COME prepared to work and PLEASE make sure you have a ride scheduled at 4:15. See Miss Schaen or Mrs. Miller with any questions.

All 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing softball this spring: We will be having a PARENT AND PLAYER INFORMATIONAL MEETING THURSDAY OCTOBER 22 from 7 PM TO 8 PM in the MEMORIAL MIDDLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA. FREE REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED

Brush Basketball players will be here on Thursday. Do you want to talk with Seniors of Brush high school basketball team who will be here on Thursday after school with their coach, Coach Mason for Real Talk. Real Talk with the basketball players will be in Room 103 at 3:15 p.m. If you are interested, you must sign up in the student center. Sign up today. Space is limited.

All 7th and 8th grade boys, basketball tryouts begin Wednesday October 21st; they will continue Thursday and Friday. Tryouts will begin each day immediately after school. All athletes trying out must bring a current physical to tryouts the first day.

The word of the day is: Bloodcurdling. Definition: A chilling, scary sound. Often, a word used to describe screams.

MEMORIAL'S SPOOKTACULAR is back!!! Music, dancing, costumes, games, food and fun with friends! It’s all happening next THURSDAY OCTOBER 29th from 5-7 PM. All MJH students are invited. Let’s start your Spooktacular off in style! Ask your student council representatives for more details.... Beware. Be scared. BE HERE!

Students are expected to walk on the right hand side of the hallway, keep your conversations with peers at quiet as possible, and only go to your lockers at the beginning of the day, at lunch, and at the end of the school day. Have Wonderful Wednesday
