Find books in ABC order and learn a few Dewey numbers for favorite topics Retell a favorite story in words and pictures Recognize patterns in stories (cause and effect) and compare/contrast ideas Explain the role of author and illustrator Use visual literacy skills to interpret McDermott’s illustrations Become an author and illustrator making handmade books and ebooks on Voicethread Compare/contrast pictures and identify specific details that are different now (social studies integration) Use the Library web site with guidance Use One More Story, Pebblego, Sesame Street ebooks with guidance Read at home, reflect and rate their library books for the week
