Finger Play/Hand Activity

Five Little Pumpkins Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate, (hold hands up) The first one said "oh my its getting late," (hands on cheeks) The second one said "there's a chill in the air," (hug self) The third one said "but we don't care," (shrug) The fourth one said "we're ready for some fun," (jump) The fifth one said "lets run, run, run," (run in place) So woo went the wind, and out went the lights, And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight (sit down).

Pumpkin Guts: Place the extra pumpkin insides in the discovery table for the children to mush and gush for a while. Pumpkin Rolling: Roll pumpkins back and forth between teacher and student

Art Projects Pumpkins Pumpkin Plate What You Need: Paper, Paint, Paper Plate, Yarn What You Do: Take a paper plate and color a face on it using crayons. Paint entire side with orange paint. Once it has dried, hole punch a hole at the very top and string through green yarn. Hang in your child's room or on their door.

Pumpkin Face Matching Cards: Create a set of pumpkin face matching cards. Program pumpkin shapes with different expressions such as happy, sad, angry.
