***FCAT-STAR***

From the Lake County Schools Intranet:

On the right side under “Quick Links” click on “FCAT-STAR”.

If you do not have an account… on the Log-in page there is a link below the log in that says, “Need to request an account? Click here”

After you have an account set up…

Left side bar: Make sure “Active School Year” is 2012-2013. Under “Data Quick Access”, click on “FCAT Test Reports” then it drops down … click on “Advanced Level Report”.

Your school name should show up…. Click on “Continue Advanced Report” (For teachers…their “class name” should show up.)

The default on this screen will have the FCAT Math, Reading, and lower quartile (NEW Feature). Make sure the testing year is 2010-2011.

Click on “Process Advanced Report”

Once the report is on the screen, you can sort by clicking the top of any column. The first time you click a column it will sort highest to lowest, the next time it will sort lowest to highest. (Keep in mind that you will most likely have a “next page” as all the students will not fit on the one page. ) If you want make a class printout, be certain to use the “printer friendly” button.

On the Report page:

Yellow arrow: Click on “View Sub-test Reports” You can then choose from: Reading Math Writing

Click on one of these and it will show the results of this test and it will show how the students did in each of the “sub-test” categories. Again you can click on the column categories and it will sort the students in each category.

Individual Reports:

Go “Back to Advance Report” (at the top of the screen).

The students with scores highlighted in blue (reading) or green (math) are your lower quartile students.

M. Wiseman 8-28-12 There is a blue triangle beside each student’s name. Click on the actual triangle. There will then be a graph that shows the student’s “Reading Progress”.

*****Note the comments on the side that tell how many DSS points the student needs to advance to the next achievement level and how many points they are away from dropping a level. Although we do not have the new DSS points at this time, you can see which students have the threat of falling from each level and which students are close to be bumped up to the next level.*****

The same information is on the Math Tab (click on the tab at the top).

****The fourth tab is a summary of the students Math and Reading Progress. **** From the class list you can Click on the actual student name and a “snap shot” will come up!
