Our purpose is to share the Christian faith, in word and action, with everyone we meet. We have served the local community for over 150 years and look forward to the future. One of the ways in which we are able to support people from Washingborough and its surrounding villages is to offer the use of our premises for celebrations and meetings. This flower festival is one of a range of activities that we are proud to support. From children’s parties to adult learning, from weight loss to dancing, everyone is welcome. Feel free to contact Pam Weetman our Community Link on (01522 809295) if you are interested in hiring our premises.

It is fitting that this flower festival, with its link to faith, is staged in our worship area. Many people believe in God and accept that there is a spiritual dimension to life, even though they may have not made it to Church. When we see beauty or we experience love, things take on a different perspective. The Bible is filled with examples of people whose lives have been strengthened and transformed by their faith in God. We believe that God loves us, and that Jesus helps us to find life in all its fullness. As you take time to look around the exhibition, I pray that you will feel a sense of renewal.

On a practical note, I would ask you to give generously towards both the cost of the flowers and the work of Washingborough Methodist Church. I would also like to remind you of the following services that will be taking place on Easter Sunday:

10:30am March 23rd, Easter Morning Family Service, Rev Langley Mackrell-Hey, Minister at Washingborough. 6pm, March 23rd, Easter Evening Service with Holy Communion Rev Ian Hill (Circuit Superintendent, Lincoln South Circuit.)

More information on our activities is available through our monthly pew notices, prayer letter and brochure - placed on the tables in the hall.

Thank you for your support. Rev Langley WASHINGBOROUGH METHODIST CHURCH
