INITIATIVE #1 – Education and Professional Development Strategies _____ Assist your chapters in promoting Keys to Excellence at the Region Seminar _____ Encourage your Food Service Director and/or School Administrators to attend Region Seminar and/or Industry Seminar _____ Promote SNA Conferences, Training and Webinar Wednesdays _____ Collaborate with State Agency to provide educational sessions at Region Seminar _____ Provide an opportunity for participating Sustaining Industry Partners (SIP) to address Region Seminar attendees (for example, “Five Minutes of Fame”) during the Region Seminar

Strategies _____ Assist the presidents in your region on how to use the SNA National Resources on Grassroots Advocacy _____ Invite Food Service Directors, Superintendents, Administrators and SIP representatives to the Legislative Action Caucus in Tallahassee _____ Visit a legislator at their local district office and invite them to speak at your Region Seminar _____ Attend the LAC in Tallahassee _____ Invite your State Representatives to the Annual Conference

INITIATIVE #3 – Community Strategies Assist chapters in your region to increase local, state, and/or national and school district-owned membership by 5% _ Ask Region Food Service Director and/or Administrator to become a member of national, state and local _____ Encourage chapter presidents, all members, administrators, co-workers, and the community to embrace change by coming together in Unison, building a stronger bond. _____ Assist chapters in your region in the use of the SNA Membership Toolbox _ Promote SNA’s revamped Star Club program and membership drives .

INITIATIVE #4 – Infrastructure Strategies Assist chapters in reviewing and updating their by-laws if necessary Schedule a Region Seminar planning meeting to include all participating chapter presidents Assist chapters in reducing time commitment and task forces Write an article in one edition of the 2014-2015 School Food in Florida magazine
