Position Title Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Job Summary This position requires the individual to be helpful and courteous to the members and guests. You should be well organized and have the desire to lead others to fulfill the requests of members and guests. You are the person that best represents Skyline Country Clubs standards of employees. It is imperative that you set forth the best example of professionalism, behavior, service standards, and appearance for the members and other staff members to observe. As a Food and Beverage Manager you will be in control of the entire service staff, including the supervisors, at all times. It is your duty to insure the staff in on task and all procedures are being done in a timely fashion. You are also responsible for staff behavior and appearance and will be expected to discipline all staff in violation of company policy. You will report directly to the Food and Beverage Manager as your supervisor unless he or she is not present, in which case you will report to the General Manager Job Tasks (Duties) 1. Oversee and review all dining room and banquet staff hires 2. Provide orientation for all new employees 3. Coach banquet and dining room supervisors to achieve highest potential 4. Develop guidelines for the dining room and banquet supervisors to follow in order to ensure consistently excellent service 5. Maintain a training program for all food and beverage employees 6. Educate service staff about liquor laws and wine service techniques 7. Take disciplinary action on all employees that violate club policies, rules, and regulations 8. Review and document all food and beverage employees service skills on a regular basis 9. Supervise employees and remain available for members and staff during service hours 10. Resolve member and employee complications and complaints 11. Maintain a visible presence to the membership at all times 12. Greet members by name upon arrival 13. Conduct weekly food and beverage training sessions in order to inform service staff of deficiencies in service. 14. Provide leadership, enthusiasm, and guidance to motivate food and beverage staff achieve the highest level of service 15. Communicate the importance of detail oriented service to all food and beverage staff 16. Maintain organized and clean dining rooms and service area at all times 17. Review all staff generated tickets to insure all charges to member accounts are accurate 18. Maintain the point of sale system to insure all items, pricing, and modifiers are correct 19. Develop wine list and bar menus 20. Assist executive chef with menu development 21. Maintain beverage inventory to ensure correct price margins and stock 22. Prepare weekly beverage order for purchasing agent 23. Work with Food and Beverage Manager on special event booking and planning 24. All other tasks/errands assigned by the General Manager or Food and Beverage Manager Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager Supervises: Dining Room and Banquet Supervisors, Dining Room Staff, Banquet Staff, Bartending Staff

Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience in an upscale dining atmosphere is required Experience with P&L’s and budgeting Strong communication, written and verbal, communication skills Outgoing and personable with proven guest satisfaction background Strong organizational skills Basic knowledge of standard computer programs Proven leadership skills Highly professional demeanor
