A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of William J. Kearney Jr. With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to William J. Kearney Jr., and we pause in silent reverence for his soul. WHEREAS, William J. Kearney Jr. was born on January 11, 1926, a native of Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on February 2, 2004; and WHEREAS, William J. Kearney Jr. was the devoted husband of Mary Ann (Diebold) Kearney; he was the loving father of William J. Kearney III, J. Grady Kearney, Michael J. Kearney, Thomas Kearney, Kathy Schell, Mary Lou Marzian, Lena Kearney, and Genie Kearney; and he was the proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren; and WHEREAS, William J. Kearney Jr. was an able attorney for the firm of Ackerson Mosley & Yann, and he was a vice president of the Commonwealth Life Insurance Company; and WHEREAS, William J. Kearney Jr. was a man of service and an achiever, having served his neighbors as vice president of the Commonwealth Life Insurance Company, his profession as a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, and his nation as a member of the United States Navy in the Second World War; and WHEREAS, William J. Kearney Jr. was a devout member of Saint Pius X Catholic

Church, where his funeral Mass will be held on February 6, 2004; and WHEREAS, the passing of William J. Kearney Jr. has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of William J. Kearney Jr., and extends to his family and many

friends its most heartfelt sympathy. Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of William J. Kearney Jr. Section 3.
