State Representative, District 28, Position 2 2-year term

Christine Kilduff (Prefers Democratic Party)

Elected Experience: University Place School Board since 2011, currently serving as President.

Other Professional Experience: An accomplished litigator and manager who has handled hundreds of court cases involving families, workers, and communities affected by crime. Oversaw a 150-person agency charged with making sure that kids and parents received the child support they were due. Led statewide litigation team dedicated to protecting local communities from drunk drivers.

Education: Law Degree, Boston College; BA, summa cum laude, Boston College.

Community Service: Resident of University Place for the last 15 years, active member of the PTA, Citizens for University Place Schools, Lawyers Helping Hungry Children, and various volunteer legal clinics.

Statement: Christine Kilduff is a mother of two, President of the University Place School Board, and former prosecutor who worked to keep our streets safe. A proven education leader, Christine is a powerful voice for school funding, class-size reduction, affordable college tuition, and expanded early learning programs.

Christine will fight for greater government accountability, a reduced tax burden on families and small businesses, and work to eliminate outdated and unfair tax loopholes. Endorsed by state, county, and local leaders, Christine will put people first by expanding worker training, reducing traffic gridlock, and protecting programs for seniors, veterans, and children.

Paul Wagemann (Prefers Republican Party)

Elected Experience: Clover Park School Board Director, Precinct Committee Officer.

Other Professional Experience: Decorated fighter pilot with commendations from Navy, Air Force, Marines, NASA.Then became entrepreneur business owner. Advanced to lead larger companies and staff, working in retail, management, grocery, construction and finance. Education: University of Washington Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics, Air Force Test Pilot School, Naval Aviation Safety Officer School, Command and Staff College.

Community Service: Lakewood Transportation Advisory Committee Chairman, Lakewood YMCA Board, neighborhood watch leader, church mentorship and community volunteer. Married 41 Years to Linda Stolz. Children: Scott (Laser Physicist), Jay (Air Force Pilot) wife Kirstin and granddaughters Briscoe and Annoura.

Statement: Like many of you... I don’t exactly fit the stereotypical political box. I see the balance of being conservative with our tax dollars and spending wisely… yet see the need to responsibly invest in education and the health and safety of our people.

We need to maintain leaner, more effective and balanced government budgets, but also care for our most vulnerable neighbors, as well as our veterans. I believe that with freedom comes the responsibility to live within our means, protect our families, and strengthen the values that God has blessed us with, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
