Silver City’s Annual Addiction Institute located at Western New Mexico University
Gomez Peak Picnic Ground located down Little Walnut Rd., will be on the left hand side of the road, a sign will identify the location. Approximately 15 minutes from institute.
Sweat Lodge located in Gila, follow highway 180 to begin, see more detailed instructions on separate flyer. Approximately 45 minutes from institute.
Food and Coffee
Coffee House: Air Coffee, accepts credit and debit cards. Very relaxing location. Located downtown on the corner of Texas and Yankee. Coffee House: Javalina, accepts cash only. Nice place, tends to be busier with younger locals. Located downtown on the corner of Bullard and Broadway.
Doughnuts: Daylight Doughnuts, accepts cash only. Sells out very early in the morning. Also has coffee. Located on Hudson and 14th. Mexican Food: La Cocina, good food, good prices, located at College and Pope. Health Food: Messiah’s Health Shoppe, great lunch location, really good smoothies. Located on Hudson Street. Nice Dining: Diane’s Restaurant, nice quality, a little pricey, good lunch or dinner option. Semi Nice Dinning: Vicki’s Eatery, lunch only, good prices, very yummy deserts. Located on the corner of Texas and Yankee. Nice Dining: The Curious Cumquat, foreign gourmet selection, pricey, nice dinner option. Located at pope and college. Nice Dining: Isaac’s, bar and grill style fancy food, a bit pricey, very good food, good for either lunch or dinner. Located on Bullard St. Semi Nice Dining: The Red Barn, steak house, casual/nice, okay prices. Located on Hwy 180. Breakfast: The Drifter Pancake House, nice home-style breakfast, fair prices. Located on Hwy 180. Dessert: Aloto Gelato, yummy. Located on Bullard St. Oriental: Golden Dragon, good as a lunch time option as those prices are very reasonable. Located on Pope St. Fine Dinning: Adobe Café and Bakery, very good, very pricey, a nice dinner option, located on Silver Heights in the Adobe Springs Plaza. Mexican: Jalisco Café, great Mexican food, okay prices. Located on Bullard. Diner Style: Nancy’s, cheapish, okay food, located on Bullard St.
*Please note that there are many more dinning establishments, but that these are the ones that are familiar to me and that all of this is my opinion only. =0 Also, please note that some of these locations serve alcohol. If this is an issue please let me know and I will tell you which ones do not.
Just in Case
Laundry Matt and Dry Cleaners: Located on 12th Street straight down from the institute.
Heckler’s Xerox Dealer: for copies, faxing, etc. Located on 12th Street straight down from the institute.
Silver Health Care/After Hours Services: for medical services that are urgent, but not in need of the ER. Located on 32nd St.
Silver City Post Office: Located on Hudson St.
The Cure All
Walmart: yup, they got everything. Located on Hwy 180.
