Student Life Staff Meeting November 18, 2009

Google Calendar  Mike is now on Google Calendar  KT, Alison, and Jessie are also on google calendar  Monica and Teresa will set up their google calendar  A great way to see people’s schedules, and now where we all are.

Student Workers  Our student workers are hired on a semester basis.  They are welcome to re-apply  We need to post positions before semester break and after Thanksgiving break. o Accepting applications for two weeks o Interviewing the week of Dec 14th-18th  Jessie is getting finals schedules from Sam and Kevin  We need help for Adopt-A-Family on Dec 21-22.  When are people taking vacation? o Monica will have a few days off that we will need to make sure the counter is covered.  Any projects for Sam and Kevin to do?  Grade checks- o Sam says his teacher is holding his hostage . Do we need to contact the teacher? Sam has until this Friday. o Kevin brought his in, but is missing one class; he will get it tonight.

Adopt-A-Family  We have found who the missing family is o They forgot to give contact info on the form  There are three families right now for Thanksgiving  Thanksgiving deliveries by the 24th.  The Christmas application deadline is next week (25th)  KT will get with Jessie to do the Official Function Forms.

November 19th  Ceramic Sale 9am  Maria Escandon- 11:15 o And lunch 12:45pm  Great American Smokeout- C Courtyard  Raman Day Fundraiser (APIC)- C Courtyard  International Exchange Club Fundraiser- C Courtyard  BSU Savvy Card Fundraiser- C Courtyard  Hunger Banquet- 5pm

Teresa’s B-Day  Her birthday is the 25th, but she will be off  We could celebrate on the 24th during staff meeting  White cake fudge frosting o Jessie will make it o KT will bring frosting

Kitchens  Catering kitchen remains to be a messy problem  We still need to do a better job at following up with our events  Mike will talk to Bill about some issues  We will talk more late about who will follow through

Alison’s b-day  Her birthday is Dec 1st  She will think about her birthday wishes and let us know

New Faculty Orientations  Friday, November 20th  Noon  Student Life and Service-Learning  Mike may be off  Vanessa can be a part of it if she wishes
