The World Is a Book and Those Who Do Not Travel Read Only a Page

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.” Indeed, traveling gives us a lot of great memories we can always look back on. Getting out of our comfort zone opens mind to more ideas and possibilities. And while it gives us a glance into how the rest of the world lives, it also makes us appreciate more what we have back home. For busy people, the journey can help bring back the balance when life back home gets too stressful. My most unforgettable experience was the trip from north to south with my classmate last year. We went to many places including museums, scenic spots, night markets, and so on. The National Palace Museum was our first stop. There were a lot of antiques and curios that caught my eyes. The potteries used by ancient people were amazing, and the design and the color for those ceramics were wonders. The Sun Moon Lake in Nantou was the next stop we went. Riding on the boat and then tasting the local food were such great things for us to experience. Of course the night markets could not be avoided. Feng-Chia night market in Taichung was one of them. There were a variety of snacks, such as octopus burning, ice cream, and barbecue. I have missed them so much. My classmates and I also played a set of tossing rings at the night market. They were the memory of our childhood. Traveling with the right partner or group is the key to a perfect holiday. We took the chance of traveling to play throughout the island and experienced the different cultures between the north and the south. There are still many places that we haven’t explored yet. We can’t wait to organize another trip like this trip in the future.
