2009 Century Lodge Letter 21st Year This past season, our 20th year… how wonderful it has been to have made so many friends from all over the U.S. God has truly blessed us with this “little bit of heaven”… Century Lodge on Century island… and most of all for our wonderful family whose love of Century and hard work have made these 20 years possible.

Century Lodge on Century Island

A 2 hour drive up from the border at International falls, MN will take you to our private landing at Bear Narrows (25 mi from Dryden, Ontario). Upon arrival our guest boat will pick you up for a breathtaking scenic 6 mi boat ride into the heart of Osbourne Bay on Eagle Lake, Ontario, Canada. With miles of uninterrupted shoreline and pristine wilderness, Century Lodge is the only lodge on all of Osbourne and Niven Bay on the SE end of 90 mile Eagle Lake. There you will find Century Island, charming and remote, rustic lodge and fieldstone fireplace with all private cabins overlooking the lake. The home-cooked meals, delicious and plentiful, are served with a lake-view setting. Peaceful and secluded, abundant wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and excellent TROPHY FISHING!

All camps boats have comfortable swivel seats, unlimited gas, floor boards, minnow bucket, paddles, nets, and life vests (adult large size only) for your convenience. Muskies- Osbourne Bay and Niven Bay are premier locations in all of Canada and the US for trophy muskie fishing. The natural spawning areas, fantastic structure, stained and sheltered waters make for some of the best trophy muskie fishing to be found. The topwater action is second to none! Bob Mehsikomer, renowned pro-muskie fisherman and host of T.V.’s “Simply Fishing” films exclusively at our lodge on Eagle Lake. Osbourne Bay is one of Bob’s “very favorite” spots. Bob also films for smallmouth each season at Century and consistently catches 5-6 ½ pound smallies. Bob thinks the smallmouth fishing is exceptional!

Niven Bay Niven Bay is a beautiful area to fish with 2 waterfalls just minutes from our lodge. Like Osbourne Bay, it is also a natural fish sanctuary holding all five species both in numbers and size (walleye, northern, smallmouth, muskie, and jumbo perch). You will not want to miss fishing down through Brule Narrows, White Clay Narrows, and Indian Straits! The scenery, wildlife and fishing are spectacular!

Portages We also offer a guided portage trip at the end of Niven Bay which is another excellent area to fish. We are the only lodge on Eagle Lake to have access to this lake by boat. Bunyan Lake holds excellent northern and walleye both in numbers and size (walleyes up to 32”). A really fun trip! Foxtail and Fishhawk Lake are exclusive portages only available to those guests who take advantage of our private fly-in outpost at Lake Kaoskauta. Fly-In

Century Lodge has the only outpost cabin on Lake Koaskauta. This clear, deep, natural trout lake offers excellent fishing for trophy northern pike and lake trout. Imagine having your own private island cabin on a lake all your own. Neighboring portage lakes to Fishhawk and Foxtail add to the experience and opportunity to fish walleye along with more exceptional pike and trout fishing. Hunting Century Lodge has excellent hunting for bear, moose, ducks and birds in our own private bear management area. Abundant wildlife thrives in this pristine wilderness surrounding the Osbourne and Niven Bay area along with limited hunting pressure. This allows both experienced and inexperienced hunters to benefit from this unique opportunity to fish and hunt remote areas just minutes from the island. Black and Cinnamon color varieties.
