Please describe how supervision is provided to interns in your district: Interns typically work with one or two supervisors at their supervisors' sites throughout the year. Additionally, opportunities may be available to be involved with other school psychologists in our district to gain particular types of experience. Interns and supervisors initially work closely with one another. As the year progresses, interns work less directly with their supervisors day-to-day and begin transitioning to working more independently as indicated. Interns may avail themselves of other school psychologists' expertise and assistance during the course of the school year. Interns are included in our monthly school psychologist cadre meetings where colleagues meet to discuss business items and practice concerns, and share professional information related to the practice of school psychology.

Vail school psychologists are active participants at their sites and collaborate regularly with site administrators and both special education and general education staff. Vail is located southeast of Tucson and is a pre-K through grade 12 school district with approximately 13,000 students. We broadly implement RTI not only to assist with special education-related decisions but as a larger part of our district-wide educational model.
