The V.J. & Angela Skutt Student Center offers the Art Gallery as a facility for temporary exhibitions. Participation is restricted to the Creighton University community: students, faculty, staff, and alumni (unless approved by the student art coordinator). Exhibitions are cooperative efforts between the artist and the student art coordinator, and both parties will enter into an agreement.

Please be aware that the student art coordinator will approve and coordinate each step in the exhibition process, and that the official agreement details the responsibilities and deadlines. The following highlight the exhibition process.

Application Process: All interested individuals or groups must complete an “Application for Exhibition” (attached) and return to the Skutt Student Center. The student art coordinator reviews applications each semester and selects the exhibits that will occupy the art gallery space. Exhibitions tend to run concurrently with others. Only significantly large exhibitions will show exclusively. Exhibitions are approximately three weeks in length. Lengths may be extended depending on space and need. The student art coordinator will contact applicants selected for exhibition.

Agreement: The artist, when chosen to exhibit in the Skutt Student Center Art Gallery, and the student art coordinator will sign an agreement; both parties will adhere to the deadlines set forth in the agreement. Failure by the artist to complete mutually agreed upon tasks will result in cancellation of the exhibition and/or will relieve the Skutt Student Center Art Gallery of any agreement responsibility.
