Lab Notes September 13, 2013 Mrs. Palmer
LAB NEEDS: Every student needs to bring a shoe box to science by next Thursday, September 19. Rolls of packing tape Light cardboard- cereal boxes, granola bar boxes, the back of a legal pad, etc. On Monday, September 23, the lab will need Astroemerias (common flowers you find at HEB and Walmart). Astroemerias come in bunches, so if a few people from each class bring a bunch, we should have plenty. Flowers should be brought to Lab 305 after 7:30 a.m. on September 23.
GRADES: Several grades have been entered as of today. Several are late being entered due to problems with the Teacher Access System. There have been a few teachers who have been unable to login to the system consistently and I am one of those lucky individuals. This situation is being addressed and I expect to have more grades entered next week.
NOTEBOOK CHECK: There will be a notebook check near the end of next week. A rubric will be provided prior to the grading so students will have a day to update their notebooks. Please ask students to share their notebooks with you. Ask them to tell you about Cornell Notes and Photosynthesis. They have been doing good work- let them show it off! (And if they have blank pages in their notebooks, let’s figure out why.)
